This restaurant was referred to us last time but was booked out. We managed lunch and dinner this time and it was great. The food is very good French and the service is professional.

Lovely restaurant. It is really popular so make sure you book ahead of time. Menu is really varied and staff are friendly. Definitely worth eating here.

Nine of us had to wait for the second sitting at 9pm, eventually sitting down around 9.10pm, but then it was a very enjoyable experience, with excellent food and wine at good value prices.

Our last dinner in Briancon, we were recommended this place by our taxi driver (a local) as well as TA. We were staying at the bottom of the hill, so it was a bit of an uphill walk to get to old town. The restaurant itself is cute and cosy, and the waiters go out of their way to make... More

Raclette for 7 says it all. We opted for the traditional local cheese for the Raclette, and it accompanied the charcuterie and potato brilliantly. A fresh green salad was an excellent counterfoil, and great homemade ice creams and sorbets for desert. You can spend as little or as much as you want at a restaurant like thins. Great cave-like ambiance... More

Superbe staff and excelent food! The place is amazing, the position of the restaurant is on a pedestrian street that looks like the the ones in the childhood bedtime stories.

Great discovery, really nice food and friendly staff. The fois gras was delicious (home made) and both the tartiflette and the traditional menu were very good.

We were on a field trip from Grenoble to Aussois and spent two nights in Briancon with dinner pre-arranged by the organisers. Le Gavroche was the restaurant selected for the second night and it was a memorable meal indeed. One immediately notices the unusual décor, replete with stuffed toys, the most outstanding being the giant polar bear at the glass... More

The business hours on Trip Advisor suggest this restaurant is open from 6pm but that is incorrect. They open at 7. That's ok. But it'd be good practice from the restaurant to update business hours. My emails online went unanswered for a reservation a few days in advance. Again ok. No problem. We chanced it. But....(Unfortunately there is a but)... More

We had the "decouverte menu" for 30 euros (two courses plus dessert): a large choice and very good dishes but small portions and less creative than expected. I recommend the escargot risotto and the canard with mushroom sauce. Nothing special the "mousse au chocolat" and ice-creams ...
