Booked an overnight stay to attend a Murder Mystery night with family. What a beautiful place in gorgeous grounds. We received a warm welcome from Jenny and given a tour of this stunning venue. The decor and lighting created such a warm welcoming ambience. We...enjoyed a delicious light lunch served by Tom who was friendly and very attentive. After checking into our room which was stunning, beautifully decorated and everything you would expect in a 5 star hotel was there. We then joined family in the Snug for afternoon drinks. This room was traditional and cosy, great to relax and catch up with friends or family in. Then on to the main event The Murder Mystery… what a night! Every one dressed to impress 1920 style, bubbly, canapés, delicious food and a murder. The night was amazing from start to finish. Breakfast the next morning was also delicious, plenty of choice with freshly baked pastries to follow our full English. Woodborough Hall is definitely worth a visit and if you can add an overnight.More

Went for lunch, large table for 12. Everything good about the place was over shadowed by the glacial pace of service and the intrusive introduction of the venue, to a stream of interested parties - it was like eating in a zoo!

We attended a party at Woodborough Hall. Exquisite venue in beautiful surroundings, delicious canapes, attentive and enthusiastic staff, and great musical entertainment from the saxophonist DJ.

We recently had our wedding reception here. The venue is beautiful, the food we had was amazing, (we chose the platter option and there was lots of high quality food), the rooms were beautiful and staff were so attentive and friendly. We chose this place...last minute as our original venue fell through, so from start to finish they were perfect. I highly recommend here for a wedding and they are not overly priced which many wedding venues are, plus I didn't feel like a number which some wedding venues can make you feel. We will be returning for a meal and can see us becoming regular customers.More

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at the hall at the end of September. I have complex dietary needs due to IBS and I emailed before booking and they were brilliant at accommodating quite difficult requirements! I was so impressed that they...made a social soda bread for me and it was delightful, the lighted fluffiest soda bread I’ve had. My thanks to Jenny (who arranged it) and the team at front of house as well as the great chefs, I’m very grateful to be able to go out and enjoy afternoon tea which I didn’t think was going to be possible. We had a warm welcome, all the staff were friendly and knowledgable. We enjoyed some lovely teas which was a treat. A fantastic meal with exceptional service. Will definitely return. Our meal exceeded expectations from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble and Tom was an exceptional waiter.

As 12 school leaders, we were looking for a corporate venue that would allow us privacy, provide excellent catering whilst also enabling us areas to relax and enjoy the surrounding grounds. Woodborough Hall was exactly what we were looking for. From booking to leaving, every...need was met with meticulous attention to detail. We were all very impressed and would highly recommend. The catering was excellent, we had pastries on arrival, coffee, tea and water throughout the day and a fabulous lunch followed by scones and afternoon tea. The conference room and IT equipment was perfect and very well prepared for us. A special mention to Abi who made sure the day was seamless, she was always on hand should we need her and nothing was too much trouble, even when we decided to move our meeting outside to the terrace because the sun was shining. A fabulous venue for a wedding lunch. Food was amazing and well presented. Slick service, professional, friendly and everything managed smoothly. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. This is my fourth time here now. Twice for lunch and once for afternoon tea.
