Dropped in for a quick drink with my wife as it was a gorgeous Saturday lunch time. One member of bar staff serving having to rely on help from his son & a mate to serve food. He let another customer jump in front of us to order drinks even though we had been at the bar first & proceeded... More

What a truly wonderful village pub.went today for a family get together. The landlord and landlady were absolutely wonderful, so nice to walk in and feel completely welcome. Took our young children and asked for off the menu food,as they are extremely fussy eaters.we were accommodated without question. Food was amazing. There were two extremely Adorable dogs.no poop in site... More

A friend, her toddler son and I visited for lunch mid-week on a sunny lunchtime. Could not fit the pushchair through any of the external doors and despite there being only one other customer in the pub, no effort was made to help us - not a great start. Bar service reasonably prompt. Ordered a chicken/bacon baguette, burger and the... More

2nd time I've visited here and really enjoy it. Very busy both times but food has always been good. Had carvery and was delicious! Good beer and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend for in the week or Sunday lunch, value for money too.

Visited with 3 friends. Although we hadn't booked, no problem getting table. Had drinks in bar first which were added to our table tab. All ordered different food. Came at same time, all hot and well cooked. Would recommend for value for money, service and quality of food. Attentive young waitress. Very pleasant experience.

I liked this place as soon as we stepped through the door. It is like pubs used to be with a great atmosphere. Was surprised by the size of the restaurant. All the adults had the carvery which must be the best value around. The turkey was the best I've ever had - so moist and a good selection of veg.... More

we went for a quick bite to eat and was amazed at the transformation of this pub! We went about 2 months ago and I have to admit the decor was very old and tired and I felt it let the pub down. We had noticed that they had advertised that it had recently had a refurbishment. So we thought... More

The Red Lion in Drayton used to be a great pub with good food until the long term landlord retired and was replaced by someone attempting to sell stuff like Zebra steaks. He didn't last long and neither did his replacement and now there is someone else with a notice outside saying, "New Menu soon". This has been up a... More
