The food was outstanding and incredibly good value for money. This is real city-centre quality and as good as anything I have had in Glasgow or London Service from for young staff was professional and first class. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in a comfortable room.

Went for dinner on Saturday night at 17.00hrs , we had the set menu that is £25 for 2 courses or £30 for 3. Atmosphere is very nice not too noisy and cosy with candles on the table. Staff are very pleasant and helpful Quick...service with the meals despite the restaurant being busy. We both had main courses and dessert all meals were delicious,could not fault anything. I’ll start at the end because it really stuck in my mind. In all the restaurants I’ve dined in, I’ve never been given a gluten free biscuit with my after dinner cappuccino! As a coeliac, requiring gluten free food it meant such a lot. Going...back to the experience, we were welcomed with 2 normal menus and 2 gluten free menus as requested when we made the booking. The gluten free menus were pretty much identical to the normal menu which was fantastic. I had the parfait and then the rib eye. The food, service and ambiance was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed spending a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in this charming little restaurant.More

Went here for the first time as it was recommended to me. It was my daughter's birthday so we decided to give this restaurant a try. The food and service were exceptionally good and the service was first rate. I would highly recommend this restaurant...and will definitely be back.More

Last visited in former location in Merchant City. After almost 20 years living overseas was delighted to see it was still going strong in its new location. It was as good as I remembered. Staff were good and food excellent. Will definitely be returning.

Made a last minute booking for Saturday evening which Smiths were good enough to fit in. It's a very nice restaurant with a good menu. Our waitress was excellent - very friendly, helped with recommendations and had time to talk to us at end of...meal when we paid bill. Not expensive and the food was very nice indeed. The restaurant was busy (full) which is no surprise, given the quality food and service. Will definitely return.More

Visited yesterday evening (28/2/23) with my friend and what a fab find. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was busy, which was a good sign given that it was a Tuesday evening. We did not...feel rushed in the slightest. Price point for the standard of food was amazing. £60 all in for 3 courses plus drinks for 2 people. Will definitely be back.More

My wife and I visited this place for lunch on Sunday 15 Jan 2023 at approximately 3pm. It was a spur of the moment booking made at approximately 1pm. They said they could squeeze us in and needed the table back after 2 hours which...was fine by us. The restaurant was not busy and the service was slow. I chose blade of beef which is apparently a popular dish here and to say I was disappointed would be a understatement. I thought it would be a piece of meat more like a roast or something. However it was nothing more than a small timble with shredded beef like pulled pork and very stingy which stuck in your teeth. It was also very dry and lacked much taste. The menu is not very extensive and has little choice and the lunch/pre theatre menu is basically the same as the a la carte menu. We ordered scallops for starters which was a £5 supplement each and this was discounted from the bill as a good will gesture and the waiter said I should have informed him that I wasn't happy with my dish and he would have changed it even though he and other staff looked over and passed our table and could quite clearly see I wasn't eating. We were in and out of the restaurant in about 1 hour. I have spent more time with my grandchildren in a Mc Donald's. We won't be back again. I suspect some of the reviews are fake.More
