Just had an absolutely fantastic meal in Angels. All four of us could not fault any part of our meals, they were exceptional. Service was faultless and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon. Thank you all...so much for a very enjoyable meal out.More

Bothwell and Uddingston is full of restaurants and bars but Angels really does have it all - I have eaten in here for many years and always used the venue for family celebrations and get togethers with friends. We're always met with a friendly face...and nothing ever seems that much trouble. We come often for the 2 for 1 offer which I can't ever see past. Our last visit was tremendous and we were moved by how special the staff made my 80 year old mum feel on her birthday. Several staff members came over to wish her happy birthday as well as all came out to sing happy birthday when her cake arrived. She was very touched. It's one of the busiest places around and yet the staff still manage to keep everything professional. Well done to you all.More

I don't usually leave reviews, but when a place really does impress I dont mind taking the time to feed back! 8 of us had gone for dinner, 2 families of 4 (Including 4 young kids) and we had a great experience. From the minute...we walked in the door we were made to feel really welcome and immediately shown to our table even though we were a bit early. Cocktails were amazing service was really attentive and the food was outstanding. The waiter who I think was a manager was great and entertaining with the kids whenever he came over to the table. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were busy but always service with a smile no matter who we spoke to. Absolutely love the new decor and outdoor space looks amazing. Will definitely be back soon and would highly advise ignoring negative reviews below!More

Used to be really good. Looks like they've changed their products to cheaper options. Food not as good definitely gone downhill and I'm so disappointed. Don't normally do bad reviews but they need to up their food game. The past 3 times I've been it's...not up to scratch. There were 8 members of staff at the bar at one point and the male manager had to tell them to do something. They tutted after he left and couldn't be bothered. That's never been the case before they used to be so nice. The manager was completely in the right. So onto the food. The chips were just about warm not great and didn't even taste that good definitely different ones from before. the sandwich was tasteless I had to add salt and pepper which I never do. Wasn't even that busy and would not normally get a table on a Sunday. Cheap ketchup also and for a place that's meant to be a cut above it's very disappointing. Shame they spent so much money doing up a fabulous place and the food let's them down now. It used to be amazing food. And I didn't say anything because I didn't want to embarrass the people I was with as they know certain lee there and they normally love it. Also heard another table being told the roast of the day and we weren't even told. I would have definitely had that but didn't realize there was one 😩 Please angels sort the food out 🤞🤞🤞More

I have been visiting angels in uddingston for over 20 years for food and also watching football in Harry's bar. The place is owned by the hood family. Sadly my last two visits on a Thursday night to watch European football I have been forced...to go elsewhere due to a quiz on in the bar ? Sadly enough is enough and I will not return. I ended up watching the football at another bar in the main Street and charged £3 for a pint ....in angels they want £5.50 for a pint of Beavertown. The staff are generally very good so is the food but will not return if a quiz about Harry potter takes over European football. Place is also missing the buzz it previously had. The main barman Cammy has also left. I wonder if Harry would have allowed a quiz rather than European football ??More

Orders were incorrect. When the correct starters finally arrived the prawns were so overcooked they were inedible still with bits of shell left on, it was also meant to have asparagus salad with it... Which was one sprig of overcooked mush. I sent it back...to the kitchen, the waitress said the chef was not happy that was sent out and deducted it from our bill. The mains came out, 2 chilli and 1 lasagne, the lasagne other than fairly bland was fine, one chilli came out minus the tortillas for some reason. Again the chilli was very bland, main issue was the beef hadn't been properly ground up and was just lumps of flavourless meat. But hey, I'm heavily pregnant and hadn't eaten all day so managed to eat most of it. We asked to see the desert menu, that took 20 minutes by which we had to leave as we were passed the alloted time for the table due to poor service and food quality. There was no continuity with serving staff, the older waitress who gave us our bill was very apologetic about the issues we had experienced and was very nice to us even returning my bank card accidentally left on the table. Now experiencing dreadful heart burn and nausea feeling absolutely awful, really hoping it doesn't worsen. Was my first and last visit.More

Always look forward to going here but on Sunday for Mothers Day found it really disappointing. On more than 2 occasions we had to ask the waiting staff when we were getting drinks we ordered. There were are at least 4 empty tables visible at...the time so not rushed off their feet. Average waiting time from the order was 20 mins for drinks. Felt the food was average and didn't have the wow factor it once had.More

Having heard from a friend that she had just visited Angels, my husband and I decided to give it a try again after a gap of about 4 years - decor and service were great, but the food was not too brilliant. I had breaded...chicken with linguine, chicken was over cooked on one side and the breadcrumb dressing was coming off the chicken on the other, pasta was over cooked, dish was piled high with rocket and a grilled lemon on the side, which I had to remove from my plate to eat my food my husband had beef olives and they came with mash potato but no vegetables ! Sorry but not impressed with the quality for the cost, didn’t stay to have coffee nor desertMore
