I visited this place just after lunchtime in March. A nice tea-room/cafe with a good selection of sandwiches and lunchtime snacks. There was a good selection of hot drinks on offer, the sandwich I had was nice, but I felt as though the selection of cakes could have been better for a tea-room - somewhere you would expect a good... This place reminds me of my childhood. Afternoon tea is great - especially when the sun is shining and you can sit outside. Pot of tea for two, sandwiches and a (large) variety of homemade cakes..

Last Sunday the sun for once was shining and we headed with the dog to walk the falls but our first port of call was here. Super, friendly service and so helpful. Sitting outside at tables was just what was required. Coffee and tea and superb as are the selection of cakes. There's also great hot and snack food available... More

Called in one Saturday afternoon when travelling from Swansea to Newport in Pembrokeshire. We remembered stopping off many years ago in this café and we were glad to return. The cakes we ordered included chocolate sponge, baileys cheesecake and apple tart which were all delicious and the baileys cheesecake was one of the best I've tasted. They also have a... More

My husband and I stopped here for a coffee and edged up with the amazing Victorian afternoon tea, a lovely choice of fresh sandwiches and such a selection of cakes all beautifully served with a nice cup of Welsh tea, definitely would return when next in the area.

Have eaten Sunday lunch at Ty-te many times with great enjoyment today was a disappointment, the warm welcome missing no Chef having a brief hello from her domain, the pleasant girls were efficient but obviously wished they were else where, our Prawn Cocktail was excellent, the pork tasty roast potatoes and stuffing a real disappointment,a large dish of different vegetables would have been... When we arrived, we was greeted by 3 young ladies and shown to our table. The room was very nice and clean and welcoming. The food was quickly served, well presented and was of high quality. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be retuning. Thank you Madam, Ellen & Gwen Keep up with the good work

My husband and I were visiting Cenarth and wanted a quick lunch. The tea rooms were very clean and inviting but as it was a lovely day we sat in the garden which also had tables. My husband had a jacket potato with bacon and cheese which came with salad and coleslaw. I had the vegetable soup which came with... More

A lovely little tea room, in a scenic village. Avoid the RIP-OFF carparking charges near the river, there is a free car park just down the road from Ty Te. We stopped here, just for a coffee, and ended up having a traditional Welsh tea. Just delicious! Freshly baked and still warm! And the loo is a must see. The... More

This is a smashing place - the food is wonderful, staff very friendly. We had the Victorian afternoon tea which was so huge we had to leave some of it! It feels like a local business - everyone was so friendly. You will love it.
