If you are walking on Stanton moor and would like a decent pint then pop down the road to the red lion with its own brewery. The tawny ale was very good

Friendly old pub with fantastic beer. Always stop here after a good walk for some chips and a pint, although apparently the restaurant is excellent too.

Came here in the summer on the way to Rowter Rocks. Really good food, a little pricier and better than average pub grub. Very friendly staff and good service

Hi, Yes, we allow dogs in our tap room which is the first room you come into when you enter the pub. We serve food in this area, but generally do not take bookings for the tap room. Hope this helps.
