Absolutely phenomenal meal in a fabulous restaurant. I ordered a peach Bellini on arrival and the waiter went out and bought the peach syrup for me! Talk about top class service. From the artisanal bread to the watermelon, goat’s cheese and pine nut starter to the prawn and crab risotto with Thai spices and ginger, this was sublime cuisine. I have never had a better risotto, totally original and just delicious.

This place is unique! Top quality, authentic Italian food. Replicates the best food you get in Italy.
Fantastic atmosphere
Service extremely professional
Extremely tasty dishes - not the usual pizza/pastas caked in cream.
It simply is a special evening every time we visit.

Romano's is simply our favourite restaurant; we don't live locally so it's a real treat whenever we're in Cleadon. The food is incredibly good - reliably so - we've NEVER not had a faultless meal. Service is great, friendly but always professional. The restaurant itself, with crisp white linen, sparkling silverware and luxurious but contemporary decor, is a delight. Looking forward to our next visit in August.

I honestly don't know what the fanfare is. Cheapest cuts of meat , massively overpriced with kid sized portions in a cold room with poor service.
I agree the cooking is good but I shouldn't walk out the door feeling still hungry, despite only having the main course with a side dish of chips.
Tailor made for the local (more money than sense brigade).
Went home and ordered a takeaway.

Went here for a family celebration and everyone enjoyed their food. The staff are friendly and attentive. As the title says, it’s not a cheap eat but would def recommend for special meals. If chose pasta then it’s not too pricey. They don’t do pizzas.

We booked a table at short notice (but it was early evening) and we certainly did not regret our off the cuff booking. We had an absolutely lovely meal and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return next time we are back in the area. The quality of food was first class and the ambience and friendliness of the staff just made our short stay all the more pleasant.

Been meaning to try this restaurant for years and finally decided it was time. So glad we did. The food was absolutely excellent, and the service friendly and attentive, without ever feeling rushed. It’s nice to see some restaurants still bother using tablecloths as well, which adds a real feeling of quality. We will definitely be back soon.

We visited last night to celebrate our anniversary. The staff go above and beyond their duty. Whether it’s your first or thousand time of visiting...
I had steak which was cooked to perfection. Rare just how I like it. With black pudding. It was to die for. In fact my mouths watering at the thought. My husband had sea bass which was also delicious. We had white wine to accompany our meal. Again lush.
The only complaint I have is we had to leave the restaurant before 10pm because of the pandemic. We would’ve loved to have stayed later.
Can’t wait to return again. Hopefully soon....

We went here for a meal and so enjoyed the whole occasion. Really enjoyed the prawn starter and followed it with the duck. Great choice of food for us all and the steaks were apparently outstanding. The service is so efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Will go again.

We love Bistro Romano for special events and occasional impromptu posh treats. So glad to see most of the same staff there after recent pandemic closures. Good variety of tasty choices, and leaving room for the excellent desserts is a must. Hoping for another visit very soon.

Superb Meal at the excellent Bistro. We went with family and friends for Sunday lunch and it could not have been better. The friendly welcome, the atmosphere and excellent food made the occasion very special. Thank you one and all.

A 50 year wedding anniversary with close family went extremely well. Food excellent service very professional and the entire occasion was fabulous. I can’t recommend this restaurant too highly ! All the staff went that extra mile as usual. Well done to Paulo and his staff. Many thank M & H

We love this place for nice Italian food but hadn't realised they do Sunday dinner. I must say it didn't disappoint. If we lived closer I'd want this dinner every week.
