Me and my friends came for Bottomless Bruch. We had a warm welcome from Christina. Fed came and took our orders he was very friendly and offered us a welcome shot. A* service. It’s was OK nothing better. Staff attentive but Chef too busy impressing a table for 4 adjacent to us. Not sure the hype is good as the reality. Starter was good. Mains , Salmon, ok. Tiramisu small. Wine good, but pricey Thursday night admittedly but...no atmosphere and quiet.More
Came here yesterday with a group of friends for the afternoon brunch. Staff explained how it worked and recommended dishes on the menu. If there wasn’t a dish on the brunch menu what you wanted it wasn’t a problem there was just an extra £2...surcharge. Food was fabulous , great selection of drinks, staff were extremely helpful and really friendly. Great atmosphere , Cannot wait to go back.More
Lovely friendly staff with excellent customer service but food was tasteless and of poor quality. Ordered off the special menu, brushetta which was a sliced of dry cold bread and tasteless tomatoes on top. Main I had seabass which was a very small portion in...a bowl of soup (tasteless tomatoes soup at that). Not what was described on the menu. Very clearly the special menu portions were half the size of the full price menu. Some people enjoyed their ordered meal but overall a poor experience which I definetly will not be returning to try again. Very dissapointedMore
Traveled from Newcastle to visit this great restaurant after some friends recommended it. Totally worth it. The food was fantastic along with the service and the atmosphere. Lamb sank is one the signature dishes and is a must try!
We were made so welcome when we arrived. The staff were so friendly and nothing was a bother. We were attending a production at Sunderland Empire so we chose from the Pre-Theatre menu which offers two courses at a very reasonable price. The restaurant has...a very homely feel to it. Went for tea straight after work, my partner had mentioned the happy hr menu, so give it a go, it was little cold in place but to be fair I don’t blame them for not putting the heating on with the prices at the minute....Few ppl still had coats on, disappointed with what I had especially the bruschetta, and the main menu the chips were dry and my breaded chicken was dripping with grease when I lifted it up, the staff were so friendly and welcoming so I’ll be giving this one another try maybe the normal menu next , such a beautiful setting insideMore

Ideal for our needs at this time. Lunch menu reasonable but we would have preferred 2 courses consisting of main plus pudding (no puddings apparently). Service excellent. Waitress was exceptional.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice in the last week. Once with a friend and once with my seven year old granddaughter. Staff and service fantastic on both visits. Quality of food excellent on both occasions. I had the scallop ravioli on the first...visit and I have to say it was one of the best meals I have eaten, just perfect. Second visit was lasagne. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. Fredrico & Christina are very most welcoming as is their staff. They are all very passionate about their food menu, wines, everything is Italian, all made fresh, some food locally sourced , but...majority is from Italy and prepared fresh in restaurant. Wines list is sourced from selected vineyards in Italy, their desserts are on another level. Will definitely be visiting again.More
I actually won a meal for 2 during restaurant week and Angelos was an easy choice. Heard good reports about the food and was on our list of places to try. Staff were very welcoming and loved the decor. We had choices from a set...menu which had really good options. We both opted for mussels for starters and they were delicious! Not too much sauce and perfectly cooked. Mains was even better! Devoured the special pasta with homemade sausage and turnip tops ( didn't even know you could eat them). Far too full for a dessert. Wine was reasonably priced and was well chilled. Will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend.More
