A very good place for a pit stop and a toasted teacake. If you are doing the coasts and castles cycle route, a good place to pause for refreshment. Recommended!

Have been coming for years but won't be back Upon arrival we chose to sit outside as the weather was nice but had to wait whilst table and chairs were sprayed and cleaned fair enough. The family next to us then ordered. We ordered crab...sandwiches only to be told this was unavailable. So we ordered prawn sandwiches and 1 pot of Earl Grey tea with a extra tea bag and 1 pot of Earl Grey without the extra tea bags. They brought out the tea in 1 pot and the saucers were stained . The family next to us were served pretty much straight away we had to wait an extra 25 minutes approx for our sandwiches and upon arrival i asked the waitress what took so long she said i dont know i haven't been in the kitchen no apologie. My bread on the sandwich was stale and dry and upon paying i was asked if everything was ok which i answer no only to be told by the waitress ive been on my break. And they wonder why little cafes are shutting down.More

After walking three miles with the dog, I popped in for a coffee. I asked for it in a takeaway cup so I could continue with my walk. Rather than continuing straight away I sat down outside with the dog for what would have been...5 minutes max. Unfortunately my 5 minutes rest was cut short by a very rude member of staff talking loudly at me saying I couldn’t sit there with a takeaway cup and that I must move on. This was very embarrassing for for me, and it was as though she found pleasure in humiliating me in front of other customers. At the time I purchased my coffee there was no one waiting for a table so I wasn’t causing any issues by sitting there. I asked for the coffee to be put in a normal cup to which she replied it was too busy to do so and that I had to move. It is evident that this member of staff is missing key customer service skills and needs spoken with or you will continue to lose business as I will not purchase from you again.More

Popped in with my daughter after school for coffee and cake. Had the coffee and walnut cake and a cappuccino. The waitress (from London) who served us was extremely polite and helpful and even though it was near closing time showed no signs of being...tired or too busy. Staff like that are the reason I tip and that and the food means I'll go back again. Just make sure you don't forget to register your car. I nearly did for 2 mins till I was reminded by staff.More

Food was very disappointing and we both ordered a fresh crab sandwich. At £6.50 each were were expecting a bit more than two slices of bread from a supermarket loaf, a thin scraping of crab in Mayo, barely a heaped desert spoons worth, a small...salad garnish and a few crisps. Very disappointing and with drinks (milkshakes) the bill came to just under £30. Then, a week later a £60 parking charge arrived from Civil Enforcement for a 40 minute stay outside the front of the venue without a resident permit. Would have been nice if the staff warned customers. Living locally we often wising Roker and Seaburn. There’s a Morrison’s a mile up the road and a £3 meal deal is far better value, and they have a free car park.More

I came here last week, staff are always friendly and service is quick. We just had take away coffee this time but we have had food at previous visits which has been very tasty. Feels very spacious inside and covid secure. Toilets available which is...a rare find at the moment.More
