Recently we have eaten here twice as a couple and been impressed with the quality of the food and friendly service. We were so taken with the place we booked it for my mothers wake. The staff were so kind and accommodating .They brought delicious fresh , hot food to the family on a cold and sad day.Nothing was too much trouble to them and the catering was efficient and very reasonable in cost . I would highly recommend them for any family event.

Visited Bellini many times over the years living local. We haven't visited in a while with all the lock down restrictions but they managed to kindly accommodate a last minute booking for 2 mid week for happy hour. Excellent service with friendly and welcoming staff who were on hand when required. We opted for the happy hour with a choice of any pizza or pasta and starter at £11.45 per person. Presentation was spot on, very generous portions. The restaurant is clean and well organised. We were both very impressed with our choices. They do have seats outside but don't serve food out there but it's nice to finish off the evening with a drink in the beer garden. Great service and excellent food!

I’ve had several meals in this restaurant and it’s always busy even on a Monday night which is a good sign. I had the sea bass which was served with potatoes and prawns in a creamy sauce and a side of beautifully cooked veg. My husband had orange glazed salmon in drambuie sauce also delicious. My daughter is vegan so she just had tomato and vegetable pasta which was also lovely. It would be nice for future visits to see another vegan option. We will be back.

Recommended by a friend. Booked online for a weeknight 4:45pm lots of early slots available. Good start, seated quickly, drinks served straightaway (soda water was flat!), lovely decor. However, we waited 20 mins for waiter to return to take food order. He apologised and said they didn’t start till 5pm. Not sure what he meant as two tables were eating when we arrived! Opted for happy hour two course special (9.95 or 14.95). Wrong starter came out but quickly rectified. Garlic bread really greasy but other food amazing and good portion size. No one asked if our meal was okay. Had to ask three times for bill - assuming waiter forgot! It’s a shame we won’t he back. Several better Italian restaurants along Seaburn seafront

Throughout the whole of lockdown on takeaways and since the restaurant has reopened been fortunate to be served amazing food. Takeaways always on time and as fresh as can be. Restaurant cannot be topped though. The fillet steak is best around I’ve found. Staff always so attentive really make every visit special. Best Italians in Sunderland by a country mile!

Wow. We attended here for my Son's 17th birthday on the recomendation of a work colleague. My mother is medically gluten free, not a life choice gluten free. As sufferers will know any trace of gluten and she'll be violently unwell. However I'm pleased to say this place really looked after her. She had chips for the first time in 18 months as normally places can't guarantee the fryer is completely seperate. These were the nicest gluten free chips she's ever had. I tasted them too and they were delicious. On arrival when my Mother was talking to the waiters she enquired about chips and was told that as they'd have to heat the oil in a fresh pan it would take at least 30 mins so they started them straight away and managed to make them in time to have as a starter. My Father and son had potato skins which were cooked and salted perfectly, unlike some other places where they are dripping in oil. My eldest son had bruscheta to start which he said was marvellous. For main course we ordered a gluten free ham and mushroom pizza, a margherita pizza, a bolognese with chicken pizza, lasagne, penne al forno and a gamberoni pasta mix that my wife requested as she couldn't decide between 2 dishes! Wow. everything was just fantastic. It's the first time we've been here and we will definitely be back There was 9 of us. We had 2 bottles of wine, soft drinks, 3 starters, 9 main courses and that came to £175 including a tenner tip. Which for 9 I thought was vert good value. We'll defo be back here soon and I hear they do great Sunday lunches too! A word of warning - it gets busy! I booked o Tuesday and had to settle for 4.45pm as they had nothing for 9 heads after that. I'm pleased we tried it out,

Truly brilliant experience with a wonderful ambience and atmosphere in a very busy restaurant. Food was excellent served in a very timely manner by very friendly staff and they ensured drinks were served quickly too. Pricing very reasonable especially considering the present economic situation. First class- Highly recommended

Would highly recommend, food and service is always a 10/10. Staff are always smartly dressed, welcoming and take great care of you when dining here. This is my go to Italians and has been for over 3 years now. I have tried a lot of different dishes and have all been delicious. The Polo Crema is one of my favourites from here as they get the sauce perfect (not many places do with crema sauce).

We have been coming since Bellini opened and always had great nights, great food and service, however, we hadn’t been for some time due to personal reasons but it’s been our loss. The service couldn’t be sharper and the food was amazing. We like good food, service and portion size at sensible prices, Bellini delivers on every level. Whereas other restaurants have increased prices and reduced portions with even 2 nearby restaurants reducing plate size Bellini is consistently good and values your custom.

I attended this restaurant with a friend. We had booked our meal for 7.45 pm. We had starters and main course and irish coffees. Although the food was nice, we were rushed between courses. My friend wanted some garlic bread to take home but was told that the chef had gone home, kitchen closed at 10 pm on the dot. People in the restaurant were still eating their meals. I asked the waiter why it was closed when people were still eating even some with their main course and the kitchen was closed to which he said it was the chef's hours it was home time for him. I find this appalling. in any good restaurant the chef would stay until all customers had finished in case they wanted something different or extra. Good service and customer care is essential in this business. The chef and the staff just wanted you in and out as it was closing up. I have been to this restaurant a few times and it is not as packed as it used to be and atmosphere not as good and you are rushed by staff because they want to be home. I will be going elsewhere in future where I am more valued.

I don’t normally respond to trip advisor reviews as I appreciate everyone has the right to their own opinions/views but this particular review is so ridiculous that I feel like I must respond . First of all , you arrived at 7.45pm and had two courses and coffee and then after 10pm decided to order a garlic bread for take away yet felt rushed ??? Every table was checked if everything was ok with their meal before the kitchen left so there was no need for them to stay , your idea that they should stay until the last customer leaves at 11pm when we close is appalling, any chef or person in hospitality will be laughing at you reading your review ! Why didn’t you order it earlier in the night to be ready for when you left ??? My head chef and second chef have been at Bellini since the day we opened so you questioning their commitment to Bellini is a joke . They start at 9.30/10am and finish at 9.30/10pm , 5 days a week. I’m sorry that 50+ hours a week isn’t deemed long enough hours for you and you don’t agree with our business model of not keeping our chefs another hour paid in case a table orders a garlic bread to take away. Lastly , the restaurant is just as busy at it has been thanks to my hard working and loyal chefs and fantastic waiting staff but we appreciate your concerns that we are not as busy . All the best and good luck ordering meals to take away in restaurants after last orders in the future 👍🏻

Attended here with a group of friends. Restaurant was packed with a decent atmosphere. I ordered a flat white coffee for my beverage and it was weak and tasteless. My starter of a chicken bruschetta was quite nice, but quite a small portion size. My main was really disappointing. I ordered the seabass, the fish was cooked ok but it was accompanied with a tomato sauce with calamari rings in it. The calamari was rubbery and had a strange taste. They were accompanied by a few mussels which were fine. The main was accompanied with seasonal type, vegetables, broccoli, carrots, which absolutely didn’t go with the tomato sauce. There were also a couple of roast potatoes which were completely undercooked. Generally just a strange meal that wasn’t very tasty, not worth £19.99. Friends mainly had pizza which looked fine, but nothing amazing.

This time it didn’t quite hit the spot. The fish cakes were a little bland and the Cajun chicken not to my taste at all. My wife enjoyed hers and I’d go back based on past experiences, but this time it was t great.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Sunderland if not further afield! We go all of the time it's worth every penny and have a amazing experience every single time without fail. The food is outstanding id definitely recommend the gamberoni starter and a penne con pollo cajun pasta dish 10/10 , if you want a good meal or to impress someone definitely come here , the staff are all so kind and accommodating too . The cocktails are the best around! ( the strawberry daiquiris are to die for)

We went for a christmas gathering with staff. The restaurant was comfortable and well furnished. The meal was hot and served in good time. My choice was soup and Tagliatelle Marinara and it was really good, thoroughly enjoyable, Would definitely go back and visit again.
