I’ve been to most Indian restaurants in Bracknell and this for me is the best.
It was taken over a few years ago and slipped back for a while but it’s certainly back to its best.
It’s had a makeover so is looking great, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent.
Can’t recommend it enough.

This is our local takeaway and restaurant and we always receive great service. Since opening during covid (after the previous owners left) they've worked really hard to run good local community restaurant through hard times. They always serve with a smile on their faces and a cheerful conversation.
We ordered to collect on a mid week evening and the food was ready to pick up when we arrived. We had a mix of dishes including the Hiryali from the Nepalese dish menu which is a favourite but also tried some different things to normal including the meat samosas and tandori mixed starter, both of which were really nice.
A couple of the dishes were a little oily but the overall feast was really enjoyable. Thank you!

Tried a takeaway from Shahi for the first time this evening and we thoroughly enjoyed the food which I would say is the best in the area.
I have tried many takeaway’s and restaurants in Berkshire over the years and would have to say this was the best tasting food that I have come across.
Service and staff could not have been more helpful and it offers discounts for those who are collecting in person, so what’s not to like, great food at a great price!

This is one of the very best Indian Restaurants we have even eaten in, and we've eaten in many around the world over the years. It is half way between Oxford where we live and Chessington where my son lives, so a convenient meeting place. We decided on Shahi's because of the other reviews, and it did not disappoint. The welcome when we arrived was great, the menu choice is large, and most of all the food was fantastic. We all had different dishes and all were 5/5. Service was very friendly without being overpowering. Will absolutely be back, and have no hesitation in recommending Shahi's.

We traveled here from London , took kids to the coral reef which they loved. We wasn’t too sure where to eat and saw this one on trip advisor with great reviews so thought we would check it out. The food was AMAZING, service was EXCELLENT. My kids are fussy eaters but they really enjoy it. The naan breads were so delicious and fresh. I had a chicken bhuna which too was delicious. I will definitely come here again soon.

My first time to Shahi, along with my parents, wife and 9 year old son. The restaurant was clean, smart and tidy, and the staff were pleasant, polite and welcoming.
The menu was big, varied and left me with plenty to choose from that I really wanted, from old favourites to a few new specialities, and it left us all planning what to have the next time we came back already.
The cost was surprisingly cheap, and everything we ordered was really tasty, from the bhajis to the duck, and from the rice to the nan bread. Whilst advertising to bring your own alcoholic drinks, we all preferred non-alcoholic beverages, and noted an unusually decent range of alcohol free Proseccos, spirits and beers/ciders on offer.
A wonderful evening out, and we will definitely be returning in near future.

We love a good Indian meal and this one was one of the best we have ever had. Really good quality food and the bring your own drink meant we saved a lot of money on alcohol ! Thank you too for such great service. See you again soon!

Was taken there by my hubby for a birthday meal. I had the chicken dhansak, (I always choose traditional dish, when i try a new place). It was delicious. Hubby tried kybari chicken, very tasty. Garlic chilli keema naan was so tasty, i ordered another 2 to take home for my kids.

Took my family of four here for my sons 31st birthday and it wasn’t great. They are very friendly and fast with service however food was a let down. Everyone’s chicken in there dishes were tough and really dry and hard to chew. I also had a vegetable curry and it had the strangest taste and I eat all sorts of curry’s in curry houses in the U.K so I left it. The keema Nan had a tiny piece of meat you ever did see so really it was a plain naan. My wife’s Korma had no flavour and rice was not pilau rice more like boiled rice.
I didn’t want to complain as it was my son’s birthday and I didn’t was to embarrass him.

Ordered a delivery tonight and they even catered for my daughter’s nut allergy. The food was so good that I felt the need to call them afterwards and thank them and pay the chef our compliments. I’ve never done that before!
The Chicken Tikka pieces were large, tender and flavoursome. The Naan bread’s were cooked to perfection and all very well presented.
Contactless ordering and dDelivery. Time from order to arrival was about 45 mins. Not bad for a pandemic Friday night.
If you live locally or need to try a new, well established curry house, give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Disappointing, ordered New Year’s Eve, I expected it to be a little busy, at 6:30 order, only acknowledged at 7:30 with an hour and a half wait, called after that time only to be told they couldn’t offer a delivery time! But if wanted to collect I could do so in ten minutes, which we did. Delivery charge not reimbursed though! Food was disappointing, it was cold, peshwari naan was burnt, food definitely not as good as it was before new management took over. I used to recommend Shahi as the best in town, I’m not sure I still can say that now. I hope it get better otherwise we’ll be looking for another restaurant.

We have been using the Shahi Restaurant for around 20 years and it has always been excellent, particularly over the past 13 years when they introduced Nepalese food to the menu. The restaurant has recently changed ownership.
For the first time in the Shahi's history it no longer serves alcohol which is a real shame as you now have to take your own drinks to enjoy with your meal😥. I think that these will lose them a lot of custom!
We have collected two takeaway meals since the change of ownership. The first one was very disappointing. The mixed starter for two was very messy and just seemed to be a collection of a few different dishes scooped into 2 single containers.
We didn't bother with the starter the second time we ordered and both main meals were far better than the first order. My chicken Madras had plenty of meat in it as did the lamb dish that we ordered. The lamb was very tender.
The staff were very friendly when we collected the meals and we were much happier with the second order than the first.
As the Shahi no longer provides a bar we will only be using it as a takeaway rather than a restaurant from now on (the Trip Advisor restaurant information still states that it serves wine and beer so needs changing).
I hope that the quality of the takeaway meals is consistent. The new owners certainly have a lot to live up to!

Excellent Biryani and bread with one side bought as a take away (delivered). Food was excellent, tasty, and hot. Delivered very quickly after ordering on line via their website. Superb service. Portion size was more than enough, and easily enough for two to 3 people for only £20. Very pleased with my first order from Shahi, i highly recommend.
One downside was the use of plastic tubs and a plastic bag for delivery. More environmentally alternatives are available and i would hope that Shahi looks to use them in future.

Ordered a takeaway from here. Lamb samosas (not bad, although they have almost as much potato in them as meat), Chicken Bhuna (chicken was tough and chewy, the curry was bland), Murgh Keema Khazana (lamb mince very oily, chicken again was tough), garlic chilli naan (nice, the chillies were fresh and actually had good bite to them), pilau rice (good, separate rice with jeera).
Had read good things about Shahi and was considering bringing my mother here for Mother's Day next Sunday - I definitely won't now.

Food was amazing, really tasty - great menu, lots of choice. Plus, all online bookings qualify for 50% reduction on ALL drinks until June. This is a fabulous, friendly, neighbourhood Indian restaurant. Definitely recommend. We will definitely be back 👍
