Booked a table for 2 for today for me and my mom. Only to be greeted to a closed restaurant with a sign that says closed for essential maintenance. Nowhere on the website or app does it say this. Waste of time

We booked a table of 6 for Caribbean night on 30.july.2022. paid £60 deposit in April 2022. One week before we couldn't get hold of anyone. So we made our way there to find a note on the door closed for essential repairs. Why did...you not contact us when you have taken our deposit and contact details??? Very poor!!! Stay away from this place and safe your money !!!!More
Paid for a event and no refund company states having repairs done to building so they cancelled the event, 🤣 but yet a quick search revealed there actually in debt and basically going bankrupt they haven't even got the decency to tell the customers the...truth or even pay them thire own money back, about time it closed down place was a dive, selling nothing better than frozen food out of dodgy freezers, looks like they tried to close it down before aswell, SHOCKING management should be ashamed of yourself of calling your self the managers never the less he will be up and running again in a different pub then he will run that to the ground selling cheap frozen food and co op alcoholMore
Firstly they asked for menu choices a week before we came, which I provided, yet still didn’t have the oxtail my husband ordered and didn’t tell us until we arrived. One manager then ticked off me and my husband which completed the list of everyone...expected, I confirmed this to you, this was at 2.10pm. Nothing happened for 40 minutes when someone asked if everyone was here, I said I had already confirmed this when I arrived. At 3.30 someone came out and asked if they could serve the children first (who were getting very restless and hungry). They also served the starter and brought out 4 bowls of chips, when asked who they were for they were told ‘table 10’. 15 minutes later 4 half chicken meals were brought out for table 10 and after nothing more arrived I enquired about the chips for these meals and were told they had already been brought out. I complained about this shambles and 10 minutes later 4 more bowls of chips were brought out. I could go on about the awful service and the fact that it took 2 and a half hours to complete the service by which time someone had to leave and the celebration was basically ruined but there doesn’t seem any point. At no point did anyone apologise or explain why everything was running an hour and a half late, no one was offered a free drink or dessert and when I asked to speak to the manager she tried to say they were so late because I didn’t tell them that everyone had arrived until 2.50, which was not true. She then blamed table 10 for eating the 4 bowls of chips despite the waitress not saying who they were for or that they were to accompany meals (which wouldn’t arrive until over 15 minutes later) and placed them in the middle of the table- ironically, they thought the manager had sent them out to compensate for the meals being so late. She then said by asking to speak to her, I was delaying service further. I am furious at the shocking customer service, we had 39 customers paying hundreds of pounds and we chose your establishment for our celebration expecting to make memories to treasure - how wrong I was, the memories are ruined. The only touch of caring was when my aunt pointed to the sign saying ‘ask about our birthday meal free’ and the manager took off some money for my mother in law as it was her birthday- it would have been better of course if they had told me that my mother in law could eat for nothing as it was her birthday. The whole experience was awful- please don't book a special occasion here, the service genuinely couldn't have been worse.More
We are sorry you are unhappy with this service I believe the manager jo dealt with the table as explained on several occasions how this was going to work with 4 separate tables to allow everyone on each table to eat together as the kitchen...More
We went to Wildmore Oak today and have been previously on many occasions and always recommended the pub to family and friends however, after todays experience I will not be doing so again, we had pre ordered food, order was wrong, food cold, sides came...out 45 mins before the mains some of the group had been in the pub for over 2 and a half hours with no food. The service and standard has dropped dramatically the whole experience was so disappointing today what a shame.More
Booked weeks in advance sent advance menu choices for 25 people paid a large deposit only for them to cancel on us 3 days before, leaving our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations in ruins as no other restaurant would accommodate us with such little notice !!...They said maintenance had overrun but they should not of taken bookings at this time especially such a large and important one ( to us ) and left our special night totally ruined , poor planning , poor management , an apology doesn't cut it ( no other recompense offered ??? ) ..avoid !! Better run places to go .More

Came for food on the Saturday afternoon of bank holiday weekend. Food was terrible, my sons pizza from the child’s menu was one of those cheap 50p pizzas from the supermarket and a handful of chips; he refused to eat it and it was immediately...returned. My step-sons garlic bread came out still frozen! Chicken was very over cooked and dry. My brothers onion rings genuinely had no onion in them and the jerk chicken kebab well 4 mouthfuls of chicken on a pizza base £13.50. We waited an hour and a half for the food and we were one of only 4 tables dining. I’ve recommended this place before from a previous experience but never again. Would have been a nice gesture to refund the cost of the kids meal as it returned to the kitchen untouched but as it was evident from the food we received profit over quality is the mantra here.More
My partner and I popped in for a mid week main meal and a drink to get over hump day. The food and drink menu is extensive and well priced. The waiting staff were excellent, friendly, with impeccable customer service vales. The recommendations were of...the highest order. I had the goat curry and my partner, who is vegan, had the jerk Jack fruit. Both meals were incredibly tasty! Complements to the chief as we both returned clear plates to the kitchen. Highly recommend this restaurant. It really is a hidden gem. Will definitely be returning. 10/10 stars ⭐️More
