Called by reservation for birthday meal with my wife.As ever the staff were very attentive and efficient,service was excellent.
The food was delicious from the extensive food/drinks menu,and all served in a lovely,relaxed atmosphere creating a nice ambience to the evening.
Been coming here for a long time now,and never Been disappointed.Long may it continue!

We arrived for our table for two, which we could choose, and the waitress arrived shortly after to take our drinks order. She didn't crack a smile, and wasn't friendly. She came back several times to take our order, but we hadn't had chance to look at the menu, so we asked for a few more minutes.
When we were ready, she came back and we told her what we wanted. I was having the lamb kebab (souvlaki), and I asked what it came with. She said it comes with rice and chips. I asked if I could have it with salad instead, and she just said 'no'. I was really shocked at the response. I said I didn't really want the rice or chips, and would be happy with a salad, but again, with a poker face, she said 'no'. So we got the rice and chips, and didn't eat them.
The food itself was beautiful, and the male waiter, who brought the food out, was very friendly.
We will definitely return again, very soon, and hope that our requests can be accommodated, to save wasting food.

We went as a last minute thing as we have never had Greek before and due to an unforeseen child free night we jumped at the chance.
From the minute we walked in it was lovely service.
We ordered the mezze (think it was 21.50 each) where we got a little bit of everything.
Wow what can I say apart from amazing.
Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection.
We would have never ordered the things we got as we usually stick to what we know,but we would definitely go back for the mezze again.
Couldn't recommend this place more
Absolutely lovely with a pleasant atmosphere and lovely staff

Visited here during the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. The decor is really outdated but I wouldn't mind that too much, had everything else compensated for that. My husband had the mixed starter and I had Haloumi & Lountza, which were very nice. However, the mains were not so good. I had Afelia. It was smothered in peppercorns & cloves, which I found very overpowering and I wouldn't have ordered this had I known. My husband ordered drinks and this was forgotten, but then extra drinks had been added to the bill at the end. Bit disappointing really

This is the umpteenth visit here, and yet again we left satisfied and full. It's a small place above the new food outlet on the ground floor, but easily visible on approach.
Diners who are Greek fans are already aware of the Limassol, but I highly recommend the venue to everybody who likes to dine out. It's one of our top two eateries in St Helens, and we'll keep going there until old age prevents us from climbing the stairs!

Choosing a new place to eat can be tough but we were extremely lucky to come across this place.
The waiting staff were friendly and made suggestions what we should try as my partner never had any Greek dishes,
Food was really good (she recommends Kleftiko) followed by Greek wine and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant.
Would definitely be back for more dishes to try.
If you have been there you should try it and if you have been there you know exactly why you should go again.

Quiet midweek night after Christmas so slightly lacking in atmosphere but could not fault the quality of the food. From the cold mix starters, all so fresh and homemade. The vegetarian moussaka was stunning and kleftiko was fell off the bone. Can't wait to be back!

We called in to this Restaurant on Sunday having been badly let down by ‘The Dean’ which despite taking a booking and deposit was closed. How glad we were as the meal at the Limassol was amazing, the service very pleasant and wine delicious. Thank you for restoring our faith in local restaurants.

Was our first time we went to the restaurant , we loved it . The food was amazing and delicious .Only was a bad thing the blonde waitress was really rude and she was treating us like friends . Thank you the waitress has glasses she was really nice and pay attention to us so nothing was missing , the guy was lovely answell .

We have been dining at the Limassol for 22 years and never had a bad meal in all that time . Everything is well cooked , substantial and a descent flavour. I would have given the rating a excellent however there are a couple of things that make it not so. We have always found the atmosphere a bit stark lets say it could do with a bit more subdued lighting to create an ambience a mood. The owner could do with turning the heat up as it is always a bit chilly lets say . And finally I love the Saint Panteleimon wine which was increased by £5 a bottle which I thought was a bit naughty . Apart from that we still go regularly.

This restaurant serves authentic greek food with greek hospitality. Their attention to detail to ensure a perfect night for us was unbelievable, they sourced our favourite Greek wine, long since replaced on their wine list.
If you are yearning for a taste of Greece with amazing personal service then pay a visit soon.

Sometimes when you have been to a restaurant In the past and had a great meal you build it up in your head and are disappointed when you return. trust me this was NOT the case here.
My wife and I returned after about 3 years and had the most fantastic food the service was excellent and we left feeling full and happy.
We will definitely be backhand definitely won't leave it as long.
5star meal.

We visited the Limassol last Saturday night for the first time in many years and cannot believe we left it that long!
We ordered starters and mains with a little assistance in respect of side dishes, and stupidly ordered a portion of garlic bread. This was because the starters, which were fantastic, and the mains were so filling, we felt guilty for leaving some of it.
For starters I had traditional sausage and my partner the filled filo pastry. For mains, we had moussaka and a lamb and garlic stew.
The food was beautifully cooked, flavoursome and substantial. We had a Cypriot brandy and coffee as well as drinks and the bill was very reasonable.
Great service all round and will definitely not leave it so long next time!

Chose to visit here purely on the reviews on Trip Advisor and despite negativity from the taxi driver when coming into the area we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Great choice of food and very tasty.
The staff were friendly and helpful when making our choices and there discreetly in the background.
The restaurant was very quiet and enjoyable for s couples evening but expect the atmosphere would be great when full.
Would definitely recommend and would revisit if in the area again.

I have been coming here for years and always have had an amazing time, starting from the service.
The food is really good and there is a list of recommendations, if you feeling peckish choose Meze you will never be disappointed and you will thoroughly enjoy it.
If you ever been to Greece there are a few traditional dishes that will bring those memories back.
