1st ever visit and won’t be the last. This place is very deceptive, looks ok from the outside but when you step inside total change. Decor is lively nice and relaxed vibe. Staff were excellent,friendly knowledgeable and attentive. The food was deffo the main event. Initially I did think it was a little on the pricey side until I tasted the food which was worth every penny and some. Food was great quality, flavours were amazing and portion sizes were generous. Beer and wine selection was also very good - unable to try the Greek coffee as the manager had just left prior to our order so this has given us a great excuse to come back.
Cannot recommend this place enough xx

We hadn't been here for many years but for an 89th birthday the family decided to spend a sunday afternoon getting into the summer mood by having a Greek meal.
We have holidayed in the Greek islands many times and one of the major factors of our continuous return is the quality of the food offered. Well I can honestly say there is no need to suffer the hassle of airports, cancelled flights, boiling heat as all you need to is come here to St Helens.
The food is truly magnificent, home cooked, authentic, hot and not skink flated (as so many meals are now). Did I mention really tasty?
We all have different meals, A mixture of lamb, chicken and veggie mains. The starter of olives were delicious (According to MRs B as I'm not a fan) as was the humous and garlic pitta.
Not too many photos taken of the mains as to be honest we were way too busy enjoying them.
The sweets were full on flavour, the filo pastry delicately light and the baklava simply perfect.
Its been a long long time in any restaurant since we've had anything as spot on as this.
Excellent service from our waitress too who was very accommodating and helpful when we were finding an accessible table for my elderly mum/mum in law
We'll be back guys

We went for my husbands birthday . The food was excellent . We were greeted by friendly staff .
We were offered a traditional menu and drinks / bread straight away .
We didn’t try the wine , however I would expect to pay £25-£30 on a good wine for a meal out

The food was large portions too large that they become overfacing. The food should be smaller and a lower price. Small salary was ruined by vinegar unable to eat it
The small potatoes are covered om seasoning that is too much
The food is nice but it put us all off in regards to being overfaced. Pudding nothing special.
Room was extremely cold we ate with our coats on.
Service was good the young ladies. We overpaid our bill as we did not see the service charge and the your young ladies returned some money back
I won't go back but it was nice

First time visiting. The staff are untrained and unprofessional It took 3 attempt to get our drinks right and waited ages to order food. Waitresses passed food over our heads and When we had finished, cleared 3 plates but left one for about 20 mins before the girl noticed it. When we asked what the sweet of the day was (on the menu) the waitress didn’t know and went to ask. It was tiramisu, and I asked was it home made. She didn’t know so I asked was it nice and was told no. My husband ordered strawberry cheesecake and was brought something in a cocktail glass with mixed berries or something on top so we sent it back. Over all very disappointing and very expensive (£7 for 4 profiteroles) Chris the manager was friendly when we walked in but didn’t even try to resolve our issue. We won’t be back.

Possibly the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant - I even had to get up and ask them to take our order after almost half an hour of waiting (when the restaurant had only around 3 or 4 tables filled). After we’d eaten, we waited an hour before getting up again and asking for our table to be cleared!
The food was okay but I found the beef to be quite tough and I’d say it was quite overpriced for what it was. My friend ordered a small greek salad as a side dish and was charged £8.90.
When the waiter eventually came with the bill, he actually asked us if we wanted to leave a tip, putting us in a really uncomfortable position when we said no. A tip, really? After getting up twice to ask for service?

I've never written a bad review of a place and I don't like doing so, but feel there's no option in this case - the restaurant have some lessons to learn.
The waiting on staff definitely need more training. The guy behind the bar sat us down and was pleasant, but our main waiter just didn't seem interested. Drinks and food were plonked down on the table without a word, so much so that when he brought our first drinks over and we were ready to order food, we didn't get the chance because he was off like a shot. I actually had to go up to the bar and ask for someone to take our order. The most I heard him speak was when he came over with the card machine at the end and actually asked us "do you want to leave a tip tonight?" The option was on the screen if we wanted to tip, he didn't need to ask - putting customers on the spot like that after a night of bad service just adds insult to injury. As well as this, there was no check to ask if everything was alright with the food - which I'm sure is a requirement??
I could have understood if the place was busy and they were rushed off their feet and I wouldn't be writing this review if there was some awareness of the bad service and apologies, but the restaurant was half full at best and no acknowledgement, so really no excuses!
The food was lovely, but severely over priced. 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 chips, 1 houmous to share, 1 bread and 2 x 0% koppabergs = £74. I had the swordfish steak which I'm sure was only half of an actual serving (it was cut along the bottom in a very neat line) and cost £20.90.
It is a shame to be having to write my first ever bad review, but I'm hoping the place will use the feedback and improve on the issues that have come up, so they can make the restaurant live up to it's potential

We decided to visit on the last minute on Saturday night, I went to the website and decided to book a table online and was surprised to see they had availability. I selected the time and paid the £60 deposit they requested by card without hesitation.
On arrival we were greeted warmly by the staff, who apologised and said they were fully booked and they had no tables. They explained the reservation would be cancelled and we would receive a refund.
Disappointed we went round the corner to the Palace Tandoori and had a meal there, we received a call whilst we were there saying that they had now managed to make a table but it was too late.
Shame as we were looking forward to a meal out, they really need to fix this system so that it only shows live availability. I also received an email saying my reservation was complete and asking for feedback so unsure when or whether I will receive a refund.

It is some time since we have been in this restaurant due to covid but boy are we glad we returned.
The service from the moment we arrived till the time we left was first rate.
As we were seated we were given a free shot, breads and very tasty dips to eat whilst we decided on what we wanted to eat.
Have to say I prefer not to have to choose my food from on online menu but at the moment this is the way it is.
To start we shared the Courgette Croquette and delicious meatballs. Hubby ordered the mixed grill and was not disappointed (chicken, pork kebabs, Greek sausage, burger and lamb chop all for less than £20.
I ordered the fish Mix grill consisting of Salmon, Prawn and tuna kebabs. portion size was a little much for me but hubby finished what I left! The salmon and prawns were cooked to perfection but i felt the tuna was little overdone. All extremely tasty though and I would defiantly order it again.
Drinks reasonably priced too.
Elle and all the staff we encountered looked after us well. I would highly recommend a visit and we will not be leaving too long before we are back.
It wasn't our favourite restaurant in Thassos but a great alternative.

My fiance and I decided to visit as I've passed many times and longed to go but regular favourites have always taken precedence, big mistake , this is our new favourite I'm gutted I took so long to book here. The service is impeccable Kris the manager is a genuinely nice man who cannot do enough for you. The Food is absolutley amazing with a great variety of food at really reasonable prices the decor is authentic Greek taverna style the service and hospitality of the hosts are Genuine Greek style they make you feel so welcome and like a part of things and more like friends than customers it's spotlessly clean too
We enjoyed our time so much we were already planning a return trip on a fortnightly basis 😀
We honestly felt like we were away from home and on our holidays even better when we realise that is a 10 minute taxi from our house .
A taste of Greece 🇬🇷 in St Helens.... it really blows the competition in the area out of the water , and resets the bar much higher than anywhere else . The Standard has just been set..... and it's unlikely its getting matched by anywhere local

Feta cheese starter was one of the best starters I’ve had mix grill was nice aswell. Only thing was the menu was online they had none on hand to look at, you had to scan your phone so I wouldn’t recommend for anyone without a smart phone or older generation. It seemed to much hassle.

We’ve ordered a takeaway from here on 3 occasions and average wait time for delivery is nearly 3 hours. When you go on the website and you place your order it says how long it will be, tonight it said 90 minutes. That’s fine, we were prepared to wait. 4 hours later and we’re still waiting. If this was a one off then fine, but it’s not, it’s happened whenever we order. We rang through to find out where the order is only to be told we’re busy, it’s Saturday! If it’s a 4 hour wait then tell your customers and allow them to go elsewhere, I will be doing going forward.

First time visit to the restaurant. We booked for a family birthday. The restaurant atmosphere was fantastic with a real taverna feel complemented by a mix of Greek and English music playing softly in the background. Our service was excellent, helpful and very polite. We never felt rushed, but valued as customers . The food was excellent, it was clearly homemade and had been freshly prepared by a chef who has been cooking Greek food for many years.
Overall it was a great night, thank you to all the team and we will definitely be returning.

So disappointed the service was terrible and we were generally ignored. My alcohol free drink was not alcohol free! The food took forever to arrive (on a quiet night) the presentation was good and first course was good. However the order by one of the group of octopus was poor and overcooked also it was a special request to be a main course rather than starter and promised this would be the case. However the portion was a starter and the guest left hungry.

Stunning food. Attentive service, this place is a real gem and worth the trip into St Helens if you are not local. The food is so authentically Greek we automatically were transported back to our summer holidays when eating our pita with tzatiki - mouth is watering as I am typing this :-)
Reasonably priced, beautiful atmosphere. 100% recommend
