Really nice stopover during a family reunion. Rooms clean, great food, hospitable owners. Sadie was our favourite pub dog. Would definitely come back and recommend

Very family friendly- treated the children like VIPs. Very cozy, clean and bright. Immaculate interior and wonderful food. We have roast lamb and plenty of it, the children's meals were very generous portions. The dessert was best home made fayre we have ever had in a pub. Would definitely go back.
Thank you very much for you lovely review. your children where little stars and very polite. It was a pleasure to meet you all and we hope to see you again soon. Steve & Juliet. More
Went there with the family last week and had a fantastic meal. Two of our group were small toddlers and they asked if we would like the children's food first as it would be cooked before the adults. Never been offered this before so brownie points for that alone. We all had great food and would definitely go back again.... More

This place is awesome, 8 of our family met tonight and were welcomed like regulars, the ambiance is homely, the food is home cooked and delicious, but the people looking after us made the evening, I have never felt so welcome, we were a big party with two under 3's, a dog and the kitchen sink! Thank you so much... More

We always visit here when holidaying in Devon. My husband loves the Old Rosie cider and thankfully its still available (please don't take it away). The staff are friendly and you get a really nice pub lunch here. My only comment this time around was the sticky toffee pudding could have been warmer, and more moist. (We've had better elsewhere).... More

Wanted to check this little pub out as its near where I live and always looks good as I pass. We went for dinner here with my family for a 40th Birthday; there were 19 of us in total. The beer was good and wine was good value for money. They had also set out a nice area for the 19 of us to eat. Unfortunately the kitchen did not seem to be able to cope with such a large... More
Thank you for your review. As you are aware that evening we were very busy and unfortunately we failed to advise you that preordering would be preferred for such a large group as this is our normal policy when booking in larger groups. As was explained on the evening we ourselves recognised our failing in not giving you our normal... More
My wife and I stopped here on the off chance for lunch - with our Border Collie. The welcome was warm - the dog receiving biscuits- and the food was excellent. This is an old style village pub but is exceptionally clean and spruce. The food was all home made. I had the Steak and mushroom pie which was excellent,... More

Lovely Pub/hotel they do fairly basic food but do offer a wide range including a number of vegetarian options and all at a reasonable price. They had a nice selection of real ales both on draught and in bottles. The owners were very welcoming and the barman very pleasant.
Thank you for taking the time to right such a nice review we have passed on your comments to the staff. We hope to see you again in the future. More
