We chose this restaurant as we wanted to eat earlier than most places which open from 7pm - we all sat down around 6.15. The service was friendly and efficient. The children had pizza, I had the warm goats cheese salad and my husband had steak frites. We all enjoyed our food, then we had cafe gourmand to finish which... More

Sitting in the sun but under cover, we didn't like the restricted menu du jour, so ordered from the ordinary menu. We both ordered salads, my wife had the Norwegian and I had the Seafood. My salad contained a piece of freshly cooked fish, 3 scallops and some smoked salmon. It was very good but lost points for not having... More

This is a very French brasserie set on the side of a lovely square. Ideal for people watching! I had the menu of the day which included a salad, mussels and pudding all for about 14 Euros. Food was fresh and tasty and great value. Kids menu was simple but good. My partner had pizza - that was awesome! The... More

This is a typically lovely French market square bistro/restaurant. Lots of tables outside - a good mix of locals having a working lunch and tourists like us enjoying the sun and ambience. Salads were the order of the day and were spot on, staff very friendly and helpful, beer and Rose perfectly chilled - perfect.

Typical French bistro, very well situated. The food was very good, menu priced around €14. Service was fast, which is nice during lunch. The place was packed. Salads were awesome, so was the pizzas. I would recommend.

Falaise is a unique town in the middle of Normandie with such a rich history. After visiting the medieval castle we looked for a casual place to eat for lunch. We went to the square and saw this visibly busy restaurant with a great terrasse. The owners went out of their way to prepare a table for six outside. They... More

Visited here early evening after visiting the chateau. It was very quiet as was the town at that time, about 5.30 pm. It was a little early for food so we had a couple of drinks while we waited. Drinks expensive - 5.30 for a large stella- but the service was very pleasant and friendly. It was still very quiet when... More

We have been visiting this restaurant/bar for over twenty years and the people who own and run it couldn't be better. Perfect for lunch and the set menu is very good value. It's usually open in the evening in the summer months.
