Great restaurant just in walking distance of the Hotel Gabbiano Azzurro The restaurant wasn't open when we arrived but they let us take a seat and have a drink whilst waiting. The Bruschetta was amazing and the pizzas were delicious. We will definitely return here as we were made to feel really welcome and the service was excellent.

Having visited the top-rated pizza restaurant in Golfo Aranci on our first night there, we visited La Laterna a couple of nights later...and it was La Laterna that we subsequently chose to return to. It is a friendly, back-street place, close to the Hotel Gabbiano Azurro. The staff were very friendly and our very limited Italian and their limited English... More

Food delicious, on two visits. Pizza and sausage ravioli and sausage spaghetti. Approximately 36 euro for two meals, 1/4 litre white wine, and 2 beers, 1 water. Staff quite rude, not very welcoming and did not speak any english. Menu also in Italian only.

A good pizzeria close to our hotel, the service is friendly and the pizzas are the thin type pizzas (which i prefer) cooked in a pizza oven. The price of the pizzas are very good as is the house wine.

Italian only menu so make a list of pizza topping translations before attending. The food is fine but there is no salt, pepper or oil on the tables outside, you have to ask for them. We were also charged €2 per person as a table (cover) charge.

Same good food, service and welcome. This visit we tried local veal and house desserts, so very happy to return with different offerings! More than just seafood, pizza and pasta! Although last trip showed this family run business knows that good food, service and their customers are what it is all about! Good value for your Euro! We searched the... More

This is a cozy restaurant in the outskirts of Golfo Aranci, serving both pizza and traditional local food. Service is good but only in Italian. We visited La Lanterna several times last summer, and will definitely come back when we travel to Sardinia again this year.

In Golfo Aranci with our 9 yr old daughter for a week, this became our favorite restaurant and we ate there three times. It was loud, very busy, full of locals, in other words exactly what we were looking for. My Italian is as poor as their English but they had great patience with us and it all worked out.... More

Wandered off the main road tonight and found this gem. The bonus was an air conditioned dining room. Fantastic pizza and I finally found my fave Sardinian dish of malloreddus and it was delicious. Good attentive friendly service and very reasonably priced. We will return.

Ate at this restaurant twice, the food was very good, the lady serving was very helpful and tried to assist with our lack of Italian! It was very busy on both evenings, it seemed to be a place that locals visited, which should be a good sign. The atmosphere was good, everyone seemed to be chatting and enjoying the food.... More
