Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We're delighted you enjoyed your meals! You're correct about the fires not being lit. You arrived just before closing so they had been cleared and prepped ready for the evening service. Hopefully on your next...More
An absolutely brilliant experience at this restaurant The welcome was lovely the server although working alone was pleasant and we were not rushed at all She pointed out the deal relating to a fish dish which included a glass of complimentary wine Menu extensive The...pie was huge The fish cakes were on a bed of shredded veg with a savory sauce to die for The rest of our party chose fish which was lovely Hardly any room for dessert but we shared a bread and butter pudding OMG gorgeousMore
Thank you SO much for taking the time to share your review. It really did make me smile! I'm delighted you enjoyed your meal and your visit and we really hope you'll join us again soon!
A friendly place with good atmosphere, however dinner was disappointing. The Bouillabaisse was not Bouillabaisse. More like a tomato soup with a few bits of fish and shellfish. My fault . Should've stuck to good ole pub grub.More
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. I'm surprised by your comment about the Bouillabaisse though. That dish is one of our most popular winter specials and we haven't received any other complaints. I do wish you'd raised your unhappiness on the...More
A truly excellent village pub! And a wonderful warm welcome from Ali, her son and husband. The food is pub food rather than restaurant food BUT it's absolutely at the top end of pub food. I'd been driving by for years but now it's becoming...my local. Don't quite follow some adverse comments about the garden: it's a lovely place to sit and, given this is walking territory, It's hardly surprising that, from time to time, there's an "accident." I've never seen one though. Beautifully kept and peaceful in my experience. Terrific beers and a good wine list. Strongly recommended to summarise!More
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review. We're delighted that you enjoy your visits with us and that we're becoming your local! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
We came here for our anniversary dinner and we were so disappointed. We wanted to sit in the garden but there several dog poos in the garden, and the pub had only just opened so they must have been there for ages. They also had...a really aggressive dog that must been owned by the people running the pub as it appeared to come running out of the staff area. We chose from the pizza menus as we got free drinks with these on a Tuesday, my pizza was overwhelmed with balsamic vinegar and then I found a hair in it. At this point we decided to pay and leave, the bar lady said she would take the pizza off our bill but then they charged us for the drink, when I challenged this she said her manager told her to charge us for the free drink as we didn’t have pizza. After we got home we looked on trip advisor and other people have complained about dog poo. The pub overall was really tired and scruffy looking. I would definitely avoid this pub.More
Good day Tanya Collis I do wish you had made mention of it being your anniversary when you booked as we do like to make a fuss of guests celebrating a special occasion. And I do wish you'd chosen to communicate your unhappiness on the...More
What a find! Lost count of the amount of times I've driven by this place over the years but this was my first visit and I could not have been more impressed. Charming bar and restaurant area, gorgeous looking fireplace (I think I may have...spied a couple of club chairs in front of it - heaven!) and just generally a nice 'vibe.' The vibe was aided and abetted by a lovely, efficient and accommodating serving team and a delicious (roast) meal; compliments to the chef! We noted that there was overnight accommodation so we'll definitely return as this pub also looks as though it would be a great base for walking in the Hampshire countryside.More
Thank you for taking the time to share your review and for FINALLY coming in instead of driving past. (We hear that soooo often!) I'm delighted you enjoyed your visit and I will pass on the complements to the team. We look forward to welcoming...More
A big "0" family lunch for three generations, and the Horseshoes did us proud. The table & surroundings were decked with bunting, and the staff sang Happy Birthday with the "apple pie special pudding".
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. And thank you for choosing the Three Horseshoes for your very special celebration. We do love a birthday so were thrilled to be able to help you celebrate. We hope to see you again soon!
Looked forward to visiting again under new management. Seemed under staffed, young lady at the bar was under pressure but had no support from other people we assumed were "management". Decent pizza, though not as spicy as advertised. We sat in the garden and am...obliged to report that there were several pieces of dog poo that had clearly been there for a day or two. Will not go back except perhaps to sit inside?More
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. I wish you'd taken as much time to bring this to our attention. The garden is use by multiple dogs, daily. And as a result is checked for mess so I doubt it's been there...More
The Three Horseshoes Pub has helped family and friends from Portsmouth, Reading and Southampton arrange a get-together, for Kate & Ollie, before their Big Day in September. The Sunday Roast was delicious, tasty, and so much of it! Plenty of meat, vegetables and gravy and...we would not hesitate in recommending eating here. All portions are huge, service is excellent, friendly, and attentive. The pub is delightful, the gardens are lovely and each time we have been here the weather has been warm and sunny, so no excuse needed to sit awhile in the sunshine enjoying the ambience. Thank you so much for all your attention to detail with the celebrations. We have spent a lovely four and a half hours with you, it has been very much appreciated. A huge thank you to Alison and her team and special mention to the young waitress who was dealing with our every need and all our whims, you were fab! THANK YOU FROM ALL OF US! xxMore

Went for Sunday lunch for Mothers Day. The food was delicious. Good sized portions. Very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend. One of the best pubs around.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review! And thank you especially for the recommendation. The team works hard to try to make every visitor feel welcome so we're delighted you enjoyed Mother's Day with us. See you again soon!
We’ve been to the Three Horseshoes two or three times and again last Thursday. I love the new owners and their family and staff. They are so nice and welcoming. I really like the food, I just love a stew and comfort food. My Husband...and Son had steak and it was fabulous with all the lovely trimmings. The chips are divine. It was my birthday and Alison (the boss) is so naturally warm and friendly. The perfect place for a Sunday roast (they are yummy too) a meal with friends or a cosy evening by the fire. It’s so nice to see a pub busy and being supported by the locals and visitors to the area. Love the new decor it’s my new favourite pub. I really hope they continue to succeed. I could also eat chocolate melt in the middle pudding for breakfast dinner and tea..along with a couple of the other puds!More

What can I say? Birthday celebrations for family and friends and no-one had a bad word to say. Nothing but positives from everyone. Food excellent (as always), staff are so friendly and attentive but not over bearing. Apologies if we got a bit loud but...blame the pub for keeping the drinks flowing all afternoon. And a little birthday surprise on way out sealed the deal. A wonderful pub and experience. ThanksMore
