Found this as we walked around Jerez. Had quite a few sherries and some great tapas - chocos, liver, saladia, churascos and then some more sherry! Worth finding worth remembering. Great staff.
This is a place full of carector and atmosphere. It was build on the side of the city's ancient walls The three brothers that run it are very friendly,
Depending on the hour you go you find a different ambient, from flamenco people to bank excutives. Coffee is good and there are good toasts for breakfast, as well as a bunch of tapas you can taste.
Very good tapas and very full of locals. We lunched there twice, recommend the pork dishes and the squid.very reasonable at 1.80 a tapa. The old walls of the city are built into to it.Very lively atmosphere.
La Moderna is a traditional looking bar where locals and visitors mix well. At the end of the bar, in the back, you can see part of the city wall (Medieval, I think). The staff is very friendly. Suggestion: try the toasts with home-made "salmorejo"....More
