Friday night dinner, rather excellent service and fresh fish in rustic atmosphere. We were positively surprised by the overall quality.

Stopped by for a beer and a snack around 4 in the afternoon. The restaurant did not open until six, but they were happy to pour me a beer. I sat on the deck with a beautiful view of the harbor. What a great spot!!

We ate here twice and were very happy both times. The fish dishes are excellent and the starters were also great. I will definitely eat here again when I return to Svolvaer.

Very good food, little bit expensive but we are in North Norway, worth while visiting, small portions on dish was cold, send back and was replaced, if you like fish it's for you.

The dining room and atmosphere of this ancient building were excellent, as were the service and food. Temperature a bit warm for us and the wine, though lovely, was very expensive by UK standards - but this is Norway and these things are common across...most places we ate. It’s a short menu emphasising the beautiful fresh local fish so maybe check online first if you’re in any doubt. Overall, our favourite meal of our 2 weeks in Norway.More

Family of three with a reservation. Located in a idilic location in a terrific building, the dining room is impressive and a huge selling point to the experience. Friendly greeting and promo seating into a largely empty dining room but they seated the existing patrons...clustered together in a corner of the upstairs. Some demanded being moved but we did not. The temperature in the dining room was very warm and what started as a nuisance turned to almost unbearable over the experience. Well intentioned and friendly the seasonal staff inexperience also showed a number of times. The menu looks great and if properly prepared likely a great experience. Maybe seasonal staff in the kitchen but the preparation also demonstrated inexperience. The food was "fine" however not what we expected given the reputation and price point of the restaurant. Sometimes being a top-rated restaurant on the internet brings complacency to relay on that reputation to bring customers through the doors while quality in experience degrades. Ours is only one experience but as a tourist with hard-earned money, once is all we can have. We hope this is a one-off and Børsen Spiseri will be a better experience for you!More

Booked a table during a hectic period. The building is really nice and cosy. Friendly and service minded staff. Food was almost five stars. We were a group of 4 friends who tried almost everything of fish on the menu. We came to Svolvær fishing...and wanted to try the local traditions of food. Please serve it traditionally with good portions. Don’t try to make it fancy ;). The dry and tasteless Prosciutto/Parma ham on top of the dry fish could easily be changed with traditional bacon ;) Will definitely come back because all in all a great experience.More

Where do I start … I was welcomed by a very friendly tall blonde guy .. and immediately the place felt like home. Very cozy ambiance and heartwarming. The same tall blonde waiter recommended me some dishes and explained in detail about the dish. I...took his recommendation and it was totally worth it ! Fabulous meals. Had the 3-course dinner with my package and enjoyed reindeer appetizer, halibut entree and cinnamon ice cream for dessert. All of it was outstanding!! Service was great and atmosphere rustic. A definite must do!
