Decided to give this a try based on reviews - wish we hadn't. Ordered pepper steak and Chicken Vilamoura style. Quality was very average and the sauce with the chicken extremely bland. The garlic bread to start was quite nice though. The excessively load music...from the neighbouring pub ruined any atmosphere. Surroundings a bit shabby. We won't go back but there were a few returning customers at adjacent tables so I guess some folk like it.More

We're stopping in a hotel nearby and went to Chez Carlos for an evening meal. Both serving staff were wonderful and offered great recommendations for both food and wine. Food was cooked perfectly and the desserts are made in the restaurant too, really enjoyed our...meal and left very happy.More

Tried this restaurant which turned out to be a hidden gem. We intended to go to another restaurant which was closed therefore found Chez Carlos. So glad we did. The staff were welcoming, fully explained the menu, the wine was very pleasant and our 3...course meal delicious. All the good is freshly prepared and cooked (no microwaves)! We had stuffed mushrooms to start with garlic bread then seabass and the pork. Both excellent and better than any food you will get at the Marina. We will definitely return. Look beyond the exterior and give it a go.More

We came upon Chez Carlos as it was walking distance from our accommodation, and enjoyed a good if unexceptional meal of fairly plain fare the best of which was a grilled whole sea bream. Sound, solid cooking and a reasonable choice available with courteous service....The wifi signal was insufficient to process payments by card so be prepared and take cash!More

Attentive staff, good food, nice atmosphere. Plenty of choice on the menu plus they always have some daily specials. Have eaten here many times and would recommend a visit.

Well. Chez Carlos, you are amazing. Me and my wife attended there 2 times during our stay as our family live near by, and both times our meals have been fantastic. The staff are very very friendly and will greet you nicely and then advise...you on the specials. On our last night, me and wife wanted the steak which unfortunately had sold out, so we were offered the Chateaubriand instead, and oh my word it was out of the world. Cooked just to our likely and the portion was superb. We already can't wait to come back when we next come over.More

This was an excellent restaurant and a good find for our last dinner in Vilamoura. The staff were very attentive and the service was great.The three of us said that we were sorry not to have spotted it sooner, whilst on this holiday..

A traditional Italian restaurant serving very good food. Excellent staff who were very attentive. All food is prepared to order so there was a little delay in being served, but well worth the wait.

Me and my wife attended here as we were staying near by. Our family member had recommended it to us and it didn't dissapoint. As soon as we arrived at the door friendly staff greeted us and quickly sat us down. The interior was nice,...again very quickly we had a staff member take our order and did it with a smile. I was a little disappointed on our first visit that the full menu wasn’t available, however, I understood the reason why. After saying that, the reduced menu is very adaptable, nothing was unavailable unless they didn’t have the ingredients. My husband and I have had the pleasure of dining here many times. Food is always fantastic, service too. You may have to wait a wee bit for your meal, as everything is freshly cooked. Well worth the wait.

Has beautiful pizza tonight as takeaway most I’ve eaten in weeks amazing. Nothing a problem very clean. Happy to return. Would give 10 if I could .
