Gosh lived near this pub for years and yet never knew it was there I had to wait for a friend who lives in Streatham to see it in Trip advisor before it was flagged up for me. Great service, excellent food and in a...More

I had a fantastic evening in the Saturday of the May bank holiday. Marley’s hosted a night under the stars watching a classic film. The secret garden was decked out with deck chairs, pirate flags and a separate bar. A fantastic bar man called Sean...More

I have just returned from an absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch with 7 family members. The pub was full, having had 2 lunch sittings yet the quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff was second to none. The wait for the food was shorter...More

We had a fantastic Mother’s Day lunch cooked by young male chef, Joey. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. My mother was greeted with tulips and a glass of prosecco which she adored. Very ample portions, lamb and steak cooked perfectly. We shall definitely...More

This is a great place to have a drink or meal in a village setting by a lovely duck pond and village green. Always busy lovely meals and great functions held there. Each month different offers on.

We booked the day before and it seems we were lucky to get a table as there weren't any free ones. This seemed like a proper pub where you order and pay at the bar, no gastro pub nonsense. We had the steak and ale...More

Marney's Village Inn used to be the Alma Arms and is tucked away off Hampton Court Way. Fairly small interior but has a very large garden, so if you want a table inside best to make a reservation. High quality menu which is regularly changed,...More

Went here a couple of weeks ago for lunch and had the best bacon and Brie sandwich (baguette) ever. Loads of bacon and well melted cheese: absolutely delicious. We went for lunch last Sunday and the sandwich experience wasn’t a one off. Excellent lunch, huge...More

Great atmosphere and even better food. Shame there aren’t more tables. It’s a cosy, original, old style and fab pub.

Description
A proper English country pub that oozes old-fashioned charm, low-beamed ceilings, wooden farmhouse tables and cosy fireplace.Overlooking a pond with an attractive church on its far bank and the public golf course beyond, the pub does indeed have a village feel, but it's also easily accessible from central London with fast trains from Waterloo to Esher taking only 20 minutes. If you are planning a day trip to Hampton Court, it's worth the five-minute drive down the road. Our home-made food is tasty and tempting; the type you just want to get stuck into on a winter's day - soup of the day, deep-fried camembert, hot baguettes, steak and ale pie, chilli, not to mention our popular Sunday roast - but summer weekends are also filled with barbecues and jugs of Pimm's in our pretty garden with its outside bar. There's a wonderful selection of wines and, as the nights draw in, fireworks and the festive season provide lots of opportunities to warm up over a glass of the mulled stuff.
