We sat on the outside terrace, situated on a old paved street with views across to the monastery, very atmospheric and buzzy. This alone was a refreshing change for this region, ...we were delighted to find Antiono Padeiro.
The staff were welcoming and efficient.
The menu offered...alternative takes on Portuguese dishes ,it was great to have game and lamb choices, and a tempting choice of puddings.
My dorada was seasoned well with good flavours.
All the food arrived piping hot.
The apple pudding was one of the best we have tasted, highly recommended.
House wine was very good and from the region.
Throughout our meal, both locals and visitors were queuing to eat here, Antonio Padeiro is definitely on the popularity radar, and we would love to return one day,a great lunch time experience.More
