One of Wylam's 4 pubs, but not my first choice. It's brewery owned, so the tap selection is run-of-the-mill. The pub is nice enough, but shows its age. Does have sports on the TV though.

The service is quick, the people are friendly and the beer is well kept. Plus it's always spotlessly clean and there's complementary newspapers to help you read up a thirst. What more do you want from a local ? Anyway I like the place !!

We booked a table for 10 and it was entered for the wrong date. Every meal was below standard however two people ate theirs only because they were hungry. Staff friendly and did apologize but it spolit a family gathering

Good wholesome home cooking. Good and efficient service. Friendly staff. Relax atmosphere. Quizz on a Wednesday and teams are very welcoming for newcomers to join.
