We rang the pub and asked if they were still doing Sunday lunch as it was 2.00 they said yes and we booked a table. We arrived was sat in the main bar area next to another couple with a young girl, they asked if...we’d brought ear plugs and when I asked why the lady said you’ll find out. We ordered Sunday lunch at the bar and by the time I got back to my seat the dinners were already on the way to the table. It was plonked down and the girl left, 5 minutes later the veg arrived there was apparently 3 different veg, cabbage carrots and green beans, but they were all the same colour and tasted the same, I asked for some English mustard to go with my allegedly roast beef, it was more like pulled beef from a slow cooker. The mash tasted like powdered and the Yorkshire was like a cheap frozen one and was like shoe leather. The star of the show was the roast potatoes they were spot on . Then on the large table of drinkers next to us a young child was playing on his iPad game and the sound was turned up to full, it was an alarm type sound and I thought it was the fire alarm as did a few others and started to get up. The parents were oblivious and not interested when the lady on the next table asked for the iPad to be turned down. She said it had happened lots of times and asked each time the parents were too interested in their own conversation. So all in all the dinner and whole experience was dire.More
