A friendly family pub providing superb quality locally sourced food, lovingly kept real ales and great selection of wines. The pub has a unique front room style made up of re-used furniture from previous decades. Open for lunch 6 days a week including superb Sunday roast. A cafe is open in the morning offering dark Italian roast organic coffee and a tantalising selection of locally baked cakes and pastries. Great walks from the pub and dog/wellie boot friendly in the bar area.

An excellent find. We escaped traffic on the M1 and found this by chance. Excellent friendly service and great bar food and very well kept beer. It’s currently being refurbished but it’s definitely worth a visit
