When arriving to this pub at 6pm after walking in the rain we was rushed inside to scan the track and trace and shut the door because we was letting out the warmth. We sat down at her table by the fire by 6.05pm.

Great food, great fish and chips and steaks and the pork main with crackling and dauphinois is fantastic. Thanks guys for always making a trip to Elterwater worthwhile, look forward to being back soon. Bring on the Neddy! X
Well the first thing one notices this place has the monopoly. Good Covid procedures it has to be said, temperature checks and track and trace. Sat outside with Perspex sheets across outside bar table, inside plastic sheeting.
Ordered soup, just passable, and coffee which was...More
We arrived at 7pm without a booking but after having our temperature taken and checking in with the NHS app we were shown to a table in the bar next to the fire. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious, good...More
Having lived around the lake district most my life, I am very familiar with The Brit at Elterwater.

Went twice in a week as the food was so delicious. All staff were extremely friendly and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
Had lunch here a few days ago and, from being temperature checked before entry, to the food and beer, everything was spot on.
Good, honest, non-pretentious pub food at standard prices means we'd happily visit again
My husband always wants to visit this pub when we visit the Lake District. He says the real ale is superb and he has enjoyed some of his finest pints here.
Always a good choice of ale and they are extremely well kept.
They do allow dogs, but I think only in certain rooms. You would be best to contact them for details. I have only eaten there many times and they are dog friendly.
