Best restaurant in the area! If you've never been, this is a must visit, never disappoints and always speedy and polite service. Staff are fantastic and the food even better!

Lovely meal from a varied menu - Thai cuisine at its best. I particularly enjoyed the Pad Thai but the crispy duck also looked excellent.

Found this whilst staying nearby through trip advisor and we wasn't disappointed. Staff were friendly, service was on point. All the food we had was delicious. Every dish was piping hot and the price was very reasonable. Thank you, and we highly recommend to all.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. We have been here a few times, but my husband booked a table for my birthday last night. They went to so much trouble for me, balloons, fresh roses on the table and a birthday cake. It was...so lovely of them. The food is really superb and gorgeous flavours and so fresh. We've not used Thai Basil before, but our usual place was closed so we thought we'd give it a go. We will now be regular customers - lovely food, fresh and light and really tasty, and it was ready exactly when we turned up to...collect. Very impressed.More

We haven’t ordered a takeaway for quite a long time but have always enjoyed all our meals from here. We ordered to take away…great starters. However, our panaeng Thai curries were quite tasteless and had about 4 little bits of vegetables in each. Unfortunately, we’ve...been really disappointed with our meal.More

Wow wow wow this Thai restaurant is in the middle of nowhere but worth finding !! Greeted by friendly lady the atmosphere transported you back to Thailand. They have Singha beer too !! The pad Thai is out of this world. If you love Thai...food you will love this little gem !!!More

Went in as our usual restaurant was shut, so glad we tried here! As soon as you go in you are welcomed with the usual dimly lit Thai restaurant vibe, nice scented candle in the entrance porch area. Ok, the decor could do with updating...but it's clean, tidy and does the job. Pretty standard menu with a few extra specials thrown in, one of which I tried. C9 with king prawns. Basically a Thai red curry but spicier and had kafir lime leaves in, was absolutely beautiful. The king prawns were so big I think they should be renamed emporer prawns AND they were cooked perfectly. I was so stuffed but couldn't stop eating it haha! I always choose coconut rice if available and this was one of the best I've ever had. It's usually sticky and quite sweet but this fell apart like plain jasmine rice, tasted of coconut without being overpowering and wasn't sweet at all. We had the vegetable mixed platter (shared) to start, all of which were cooked perfectly and the satay sauce had a nice kick to it. The staff were attentive without being 'in your face' and were very helpful. Over the 2.5hrs we were there, good was served quickly and we never felt like we were out staying our welcome. Restaurant was emptying at around 8.30pm and we were having a much needed catch up. Perfect place and brilliant food, very good value for money. Definitely going to eat here again at some point.More

Decided to try Thai Basil again after being a previous customer & reading the recent reviews. So glad we did. Lovely welcome from the start & tasty, well portioned meals with reasonably priced drinks. Not many people dined in - but that wasn't an issue....Takeaway was very busy. Definately visit again soon & highly recommend.More

I visited with friends in January 2022 after recommendations from some local people. We were a group of 4, the food was absolutely outstanding. I travel for work a lot and have dined at some really special Asian Restaurants in London and I have to...say, this was on par. We ordered the beef black bean, dumplings, a weeping tiger dish and a firecracker seafood dish. Absolutely outstanding and the presentation was very satisfying. It was a lady serving us and she was friendly and polite. Reasonably priced. Will be visiting again in the next few weeks. I wasn’t aware of the restaurant, I don’t think they have a huge social media presence so if It wasn’t recommended to me I wouldn’t have known about it. Highly highly recommend! The building could do with a bit of a spruce up but don’t be put off, the food is what it’s about and it definitely exceeds!More
