If you are going to Bury St.Edmunds travel up the A14 to Woolpit and stay at The Bull. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The food is delicious and is made with love. I ate the vegetarian lasagne and the cray fish salad so...good. We also shared calamari which was tender and sweet. We were impressed with the wine ,Poully Fume and Sancere ,which was delightful and so reasonably priced. Breakfast has high quality local ingredients cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and helpful. You really need to visit The Bull at Woolpit. We are so thankful that we did.More

Booked for a family dinner on a Wednesday evening. I am so glad we booked as the restaurant was almost full! I had the chicken tagine which was on the specials menu and it was amazing served with a fresh side salad it was really...delicious. My partner had the bull burger which he ALWAYS has but that’s because he says he has never had a burger like it 10/10. Still my favourite place to dine :)More

What can I say, we have been to the bull Inn on several occasions now and never disappointed. We decided to have my wife's 50th birthday meal/party here and also stayed over in one of there exceptional rooms. The only thing we could here whilst...everyone was eating was oh my god this is good or you should try this. Yet again the bull Inn done us proud and to top it off our room was amazing with the added touch of chilled bubbie and a lovely private message from the team. Oops nearly for got the breakfast is the best but make sure you have room, the biggest bestest sausages ever. Once again thank you bull Inn for making our night so special.More

The Duncurins were heading out to a wedding in deepest Suffolk and the Bull Inn was perfectly situated for the church and also the reception. The outside terraces and gardens have been newly refurbished as have the rooms and restaurant. The rooms are accessible and...have a separate entrance from the Pub and restaurant and are quiet and comfortable. Refurbishments have been tastefully carried out with lovely, clean en-suites, comfortable beds and soft, fluffy towels: just perfect for a wedding stop over or a visit to the local village of Woolpit which is easily accessible by foot from the Inn. The Duncurin party booked four rooms, two doubles, a single and a more accessible downstairs one - all were perfect for our requirements. Food is excellent and breakfast an especial delight. Service is spot on, efficient and yet friendly and relaxed so that one feels comfortable and well chilled. All in all, this is a good value, high quality yet friendly choice to make that does not disappoint. Well done and many thanks.More

Very elegant dining areas both indoor or outdoors of this family run restaurant. Whilst the menu may have been somewhat restricted during Covid, there was enough to choose from. Our selected dishes were very well presented, wholesome and more to the point very tasteful. ENJOY...Very attentive and helpful staff. Woolpit is one of Suffolk's pretty villages and is ideally situated near the A14, so travel to Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham. Constable country and the coast is relatively quick and easy, though traffic noise is distinctly muted in the village itself. The Bull Inn has...been under new management since 2016 and Paul and his father, David, have been busy transforming this 19th century inn both inside and out. There are new and comfortable rooms, a pretty beer garden and a terrace that has been enhanced by attractive plants and shrubs. The food is very good, particularly the 'specials', the wines are well chosen and the staff are both efficient and friendly. We spent an enjoyable week here and recommend the Bull to anyone who is visiting Suffolk.More
