Rubbish - owner drinking with friends when customers trying to have a nice time. Closing of the pub because landlady wanted to spend the evening with her friends!

We arrived at 1830 on a Saturday evening to have a family meal, with one car in the car park and only a couple in the beer garden eating I didn't think it would to much trouble to order a bar snack having not booked how wrong was I! We were told by the lady behind the bar that they... More

Clearly this is a basic village boozer that has been gentrified on the cheap with limited imagination. We were seated in a area which looked like the breakfast room of a basic B&B - tiled floor and Ikea type tables; very little atmosphere. Our first course was very nice - a good homemade soup and asparagus with parma ham. The... More

I drive past the Bridge frequently and although about 25 minutes drive from where I live, recall an excellent meal a few years ago. We had one of those rare children free evenings recently and so on the spur decided to revisit the Bridge for what I hoped was a great meal - especially as it boasted a Wiltshire journals... More

The staff members were perfectly polite and helpful - thanks to the young chap who offered a dog bowl for our spaniel. However the apparent manageress was shockingly rude and should not be running now a hospitality establishment. Firstly the pint my husband had was stale, flat and in a dirty glass. When he asked for a new one the... More

We went to The Bridge for a meal recently, unfortunately there was not a lot of choice of either food or drinks as they had run out of a lot of things. The food was passable but in my opinion overpriced. I won't be going back in a hurry

Have previously been to The Bridge and had a good meal so decided to revisit this week for lunch. It was not a good experience, the sea bass fillet was a very small and thin fillet that was badly overcooked. The Lamb and Red Pepper Kebab was a little tough, but passable, the accompanying Cous Cous was inedible, it was... More

My partner and I had used this venue previously and as it was a night out with some foreign visitors, we thought it flitted the bill perfectly. There were problems with the beer lines, so nothing other than larger on tap, but the food and service were excellent. They were very attentive without being overbearing. The place itself was spotlessly... More

It's been a few years since we last had a meal at the Bridge but it's convenient for meeting family who live in Salisbury and previously the food had been great. I can only assume it's under different ownership now as the food today was very poor. I chose the cod which when it arrived was luke warm and undercooked,... More
