Love this place the go to place for great fish n chips. Stop and you won't be disappointed with the service and food

interesting things to look at inside but was to distracted to notice anything else until to late food was plentiful but over cooked or re heated first time i never finished my meal.was with some work mates and they were not happy,

This place is run by a really nice woman, she was friendly and had lots to say about the town. However the cafe hasn't been cleaned since about 1974. The food is cheap and greasy. Decided to stop for a coffee, almost walked out but saw an espresso machine. So, decided to give it a go. The lack of any counter food, really should of been a big clue as to what was to come. Entered Cranks as my husband was interested in old things and we were able to park outside. When I saw no food in cabinet should have walked out was crubby with plastic table clothes and dirty stained chairs. A real nice place to take a break during the drive from Taupo to Wellington, as it is right in the middle. There's also a gas station around the corner. This is a cool cafe with a bikers theme.
