We got a room on the second floor (stairs are a bit steep). The room and toilet were clean. They provided towels, soap, shampoo, and tissue paper. There is a heater in the shower. But, the water pressure of the shower was too low. There is a bidet beside the toilet. Aircon was quiet and working well. They had a... More

Over 5 days in Bantayan, we had lunch there 2 times. Not only because it was the only place with decent WIFI, but also because the food was good and the location invites to lay over and watch the street (specially when it rains)

I had breakfast there so the food was fine, it was ordinary. Service though was pretty bad. Mind you it wasn't full at the time, maybe it had about 20 people eating. My father asked if he could have them re-heat his coffee since the food was served later on, and he likes drinking his coffee with his food, but... More

A tad overpriced and friendlier service seems to be the way throughout most of the island. Food just ordinary so no returns for us.

Don't bother with Cou Cou's! We waited ages for our order to be taken, then a further 40 minutes before I asked a waitress how much longer we would be waiting, to be told another 5/10 minutes. I'm more than happy to wait and soak up the atmosphere in restaurants, but when 3 sets of Filipino people came in after... More

All visitors will agree with me that this restaurant is so attractive to dine! So we placed our order as soon as we arrived because we noticed that the serving time in the island is slow. And we are right, this is a waiting game! It took us more than an hour to get our orders plus numerous follow-ups for... More

Bantayan which is a relatively small island has many good options for food - but CouCou doesn't get into the list of the memorable mentions. The food is average (or a bit lower) even though the prices are not. The service was pleasant. The music was a bit loud and outdated (but this is a recouring theme in many restaurants... More

We ate here several times during our stay in Bantayan Island. Some dishes are hit and miss. The Chicken Cordon Blue with Rice and Chicken Sotanghon soup were good. Don't order the Beef Steak. They have fair servings so all good.
