The Sportsman’s Inn is 7 miles from Penrith and the M6, and 7 miles from Keswick, and Ullswater. It’s a well know icon and landmark, and is used by many customers as a central point to meet up with friends and family. Catering for all tastes, serving pub grub cooked to a tasty high standard, with many customers highly recommending this pub/restaurant. Fantastic views outside, Nice beer garden. Plenty of parking.

Had pleasure of dining here 3 times during recent break in area. Without fail food was hot, tasty and well presented. Reasonably priced. Nice seating. Good service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We have visited here five times since September. The food is of a very high standard. It looks and tastes of quality produce, cooked expertly. Vegetarian choices are great and staff are friendly and helpful.

On our way to Bowness and stopped here for lunch. The food was amazing, arrived quickly. Lovely views from restaurant. The man who looked after us was very friendly and very funny. Would strongly recommend this place.

Brilliant service. Steak and ale pie at the sportsman is out of this world. Absolutely fantastic. Ellen was welcoming and really friendly.

no not sure but does stop on the afternoon but serves meals on an evening.
