funny place at a crossroads far from anything else. Ambience is interesting and the staff was very polite and attentive and made really quite good veggie burgers and chips. topped it off with some good ice cream. pleasantly surprised

Not very good service, lousy food, long queues and waits, high prices, not very nice toilets. Ah yes, the pleasures of a toilet stop at this fine establishment

It is just as most people are saying - just awful. They have a great opportunity to do it well but are totally clueless. I noticed a coffee/food caravan 100 metres north that I will be trying next time.

I called yesterday for Lunch - where does one start. The toilet was filthy and smelt. The food in the cabinet was stale, the service appalling and the prices were through the roof. These people are going through the motions and making money because they can. There was no form of courtesy - I could not even get a Scone... More

This has to be the most disgusting place to eat. Our laminated table number was falling apart and had years and years worth of food caked on it. Our grated cheese had some white powder through it... I make the same mistake each year and always give it another chance, but never again. Yuck!

If you value your health, then I suggest you do not eat at this flea hole. My husband and I had a steak pie??? Where was the steak??? We then drank our tea outside and got bitten by fleas from an old doormat. I saw a dead cockroach inside the cafe.

Only thing going for it is that it is a good stopping point to stretch the legs on a trip through the Lewis. Have tried the cafe several times mainly out of sense obligation for using the bathroom and playground. Food is old school kiwi teahouse and not in a good way. If you are craving very average coffee, dry... More

Nice & warm with the fire going & looks clean & tidy - not enough choice in the cabinet & some food looked a bit old - chips were ok & sausage roll looked good but wouldn't stop here again
