Have just had the most amazing Sunday lunch. Had cauliflower cheese soup to start - delicious Husband had white bait Then the most packed delicious roast lamb lunch- tender lamb, roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower cheese and yorkshires all cooked to perfection. I had to bring half of mine home! Wonderful value Lovely attentive polite staff Compliments to the chef for creating what I think is my best roast dinner yet Will see you again soon

Was recommended this fantastic place for breakfast as our local bistro has been taken over and sadly standards have slipped, we were welcomed as soon as we went in and seated by the window, the atmosphere was lovely as king’s coronation was being broadcast and bunting etc was up. I had the full English with a massive portion of bubble and squeak, the sausage was delicious and the quality of food was high quality. My partner had poached eggs on avocado thick cut white bloomer. The food really was fabulous but what is so hard to find now is the quality of service we received, they are charging in my opinion to little for what they provide due to the quality of products used, all condiments on table were named branded so no horrible sticky bottles!!! Full English was £8, such a bargain. We will definitely be going back soon as they are open till 23:00hrs and have a wide range of cocktails and live entertainment.

Took my mum to Paul's for a Mothers Day Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. My vegetarian mum had the nut roast and I had the chicken. There were plenty of veggies and a tasty cauliflower cheese, and we each got a pot of gravy - we had everything we needed! It really hits the spot if you're on the hunt for a good old Sunday roast at an affordable price.

Went in for a drink before a meal out but were disappointed. The drinks were overpriced and although the service was OK I don't understand why a 10% service charge is added even when you go to the bar to get your drinks. I don't really mind paying a service charge for food but not just drinks and even if you are going to charge this extra unnecessary charge at least clean the outside seating area. The floor was covered in food debris, tables were left uncleared for a good half hour even though it wasn't at all busy and if you sit at the far end you are looking at an area full of crap/rubbish and old equipment. Wont return

The food we had was fine, but we were disappointed that the menu was very different from the ones we'd seen online, both in choice and prices. I do think establishments shouldn't mislead customers by leaving menus online that are so out of date that their prices are almost half those of the current menu. I eat out a lot and found their prices way too high. They were comparable to a restaurant you'd go to for a nice evening meal. I was also shocked that a 10% service charge had been added on, just for a couple of sandwiches! Never seen this before. All in all, we decided we wouldn't go back.

Lovely food but very expensive drinks for thanet, its not London ! and lose the 10% service charge, it does say on receipt that is goes to staff but your staff get a wage and you should not include service charge it should be up to the customer to leave a tip. Your food was amazing but at the end of the day your paying £12.95 for a burger so 10% on top is just greedy, I will not be back

We chose this place for lunch as it looked nice and it was, staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was nice and arrived very quickly. My main gripe and why I have given 3 stars and would be reluctant to return is because of the following. We ordered two sandwiches from the specials for the day, they came with a small portion of chips. We weren’t told how much the specials were but I figured as it was a sandwich it couldn’t be that much. When I went to pay the bill it came to nearly £30! We’d had two sandwiches and two drinks. I didn’t realise this until I checked my bill afterwards, we had been charged £10 each for the sandwiches and then an additional 10% service charge had been added on on top. I like the option of choosing whether to leave a tip and if it had been an evening meal would certainly have done so. But for lunch! On two sandwiches and without even being asked, it really did make me cross. I am happy to support independents, times are hard, but they are also hard for customers too and tips should not automatically be added onto food which is already highly priced without consent from the customer.

After several friends recommending a visit to Paul’s, we decided to pay them a visit for breakfast this morning (27.08.22). We arrived and got seated straight away, the table got cleared and then we decided on what we wanted to order and waited for the waitress to come over to us. We waited for approximately 15 mins, when she appeared she advised us that they were not serving food as the kitchen had a back log of orders (it did not appear that busy that they could not take further food orders). Prior to the waitress approaching us we saw the chef in the kitchen throw all of the orders up in the air (obviously could not handle the orders). Although I am unable to comment on the quality of the food which I must say looked delicious when being served to other customers, we was extremely disappointed in leaving without having the full experience.

Went for a light lunch and as I love a jacket potato I went for that option, as did my friend. We both said how much we enjoyed them. We had the prawns in sauce and there was a lovely fresh salad on the side. The butter came in individual pats in foil, so if you’re dairy free or on a diet you had the option to avoid. It was beautifully presented and cooked, not microwaved ( my pet hate!). Service was quick and lovely staff.

First of all, the waitresses were fantastic, attentive and really helpful. Unfortunately the food was seriously lacking, the chips were disappointing frozen French fries, the gammon wasn't that tasty, and the buttermilk chicken burger was completely and utterly ruined beyond repair with the supermarket-sandwich-like "peppered mayo", without the peppered mayo (the kind that is used to disguise the cheap flavourless low quality ingredients) it would have been probably a fairly decent burger, but as it was served, it was bordering inedible, just don't put a sauce in the burger, fixed! There are plenty of sauces on the table so seems completely pointless to include a similar but inferior mayonnaise within the burger. When wetherspoons food tastes better than your food, you're doing something severely wrong. The latte and other drinks were pretty decent though.

We decided to walk into Westgate today instead of our usual Margate . When we came into Westgate we decided to stop at Pauls for s drink but ended up having breakfast . I had a glass of orange with a small breakfast and the wife had eggs on toast and a latte . The food was excellent and served very quick considering they were observing the two minutes silence for Remembrance Sunday . We would definitely recommend this place for a visit anytime of the day to have a leisurely drink or a meal if you feel like it .

I booked here for a family gathering following a bereavement ceremony of our mum. It all went perfect from start to finish. Speaking to Paul to make the booking beforehand he went through what he would prepare and serve for us. When the food come out there was a great selection served on platters for each of the tables and way more than we could all eat. A lovely selection of hot and cold food for us all to enjoy. The bar is very very well stocked with a great selection of wines available which we enjoyed more than a few of! The staff were all amazing, so friendly and accommodating for all our needs. Thanks to Paul, his manager Donna and all the team there, it really was a lovely place for us all to meet and celebrate the life of our mum together. Paul & Family x

Food was delicious - loved the Vegan burger, and the attention to my food allergy ask - to the tiniest detail. Emily was our server, and she was great fun, and really helpful. I will look forward to eating there again in the near future.

We had just been to the local cinema and decided to call in to see if they had a table free. It was 17:30 when we called in and the place was empty so we thought they were about to close . We asked staff and they said no it’s ok to come in and eat , we choose our drinks and then looked at the menu . We ordered two burgers topped with Stilton cheese ,one as on the menu and one to my specification as I do not like salad . When they arrived we were pleasantly surprised and was full when we had emptied our plates . Great staff very helpful and the food was cooked to a treat.

They were able to cater for a lunch time table for 12 people. The food was great and very generoys portions, all pretty much arrived at the same time too. Lovely staff, we were really well tended to, thank you Paul and staff. Full marks from me.
