We went for date night and had the most wonderful time:
Food: was of a very high standard, all ingredients were clearly fresh and dishes hand prepared. The cannelloni was the best we've had!
Atmosphere: romantically lit in the evening, bussling atmosphere without being hectic
Drinks: prepared with car. Bar staff understood pairings
Value: very good value for money on food and drinks

We went to Buonissima for our staff Christmas meal the Friday before Christmas. We really enjoy your 3 course meal and thought the £20 price tag was a bargain!
We had prosecco on arrival, bushetta for starter, pizza for main and a choice of gelato or tiramisu.
Thank you for a great night and a great atmosphere!
We’ll be back 😀

Myself and my wife have been coming to Buonissima for a long time now and it’s always been a joy everytime we visit. The staff a really friendly, the food is delicious and decor adds to the warm relaxing atmosphere that you want from a aperitivo bar. A favourite of mine is the coffee, and the triamisu always goes down well.
I’ve recommend Buonissima to all my friends and they’ve enjoyed there experinace here too. I’l continue coming to Buonissima and I’m happy to call it my local, as its an absolute delight.

We visited tonight with friends and apart from our very friendly waitress, unfortunately, it was a terrible experience.
It started with being told the gnocchi was not available, as it was still frozen. It then took an age for the bread and olives to arrive. When the mains arrived, my pizza was quite black and more like a stale bread base, which I could hardly cut through. The gnocchi was replaced with penne pasta, but unfortunately, this didn't live up to much. We originally asked for one 'gnocchi' dish to come with more sauce, but this didn't happen. The dish was sent back, but then didn't arrive again until at least 5-10 minutes later. The chicken in the pasta dish was also hard. The final nail in the coffin was the ear piercing building alarm going off for about 2 minutes, with no apology following. When the bill came, we were still charged full price for the 'gnocchi' dish, even though it wasn't gnocchi, and full price for the smaller portion chicken pasta dish. I begrudgingly paid the bill as we were with friends, but I won't be visiting again, not even for drinks, as the general service is very below par.

We booked a table for lunch , sat in the corner for 10 min being completely ignored. The lunch menu consists of 5 items- pasta, salad, antipasti. Why advertise a full lunch time and brunch menu on your website??? No draught cider- on the menu advertising Angry Orchard. Only a few cocktails available. Service awfully slow. This place is a joke.

We had the most beautiful 50th birthday party at Buonissima. The staff advised us perfectly for our requirements, were attentive throughout the evening and added to the relaxed atmosphere of the bar. The food was delicious and the variety of drinks kept everybody happy - coffee to cocktails, even the Mocktails went down a storm.
Can highly recommend this place. A hidden jewel!

Whether we go for afternoon coffee and cake, brunch or a light lunch we always enjoy visiting this very pleasant venue. Staff are friendly and service is prompt. Thoroughly recommend the delicious coffee.

This year's Christmas party was spent at Buonissima and it didn't disappoint. We took advantage of the reasonably priced 3 course meal which was such great value!
The food was delicious, the cocktails were great and the staff were welcoming and friendly (despite being absolutely rushed off their feet!)
Many thanks for a fabulous time.
Obviously we will be coming back 😍

Decided to pop in for a drink whilst passing, after a short wait to be seated, it took 20 minutes to get served, and a further 15 minutes for the drinks arrive, my wife even went to the bar to ask if it was bar or table service, finally when the drinks arrived my pint of Italian larger was warm, I didn’t want to complain as it had taken so long to come and didn’t want to wait again. I understand it was busy, I felt sorry for the staff who were running around like crazy, at one point we even discussed leaving. Would we go back? Maybe if it wasn’t so busy.

5* Excellent. Our 3rd takeaway in these difficult Covid times but absolutely fabulous. Ordered Smoked Salmon; Slow cooked Lamb Shank; Tiramisu- delicious!!
Not only was the food top class, the prompt pickup service and all hygiene procedures top class. Wish they would do more as we would certainly recommend it and we will return! Thank you Buonissimo xx

We have lived in the area for a few years and have visited Buonissima a number of times for lunch, dinner and drinks so it was sentimental for us to pick it as our venue for our co-ed baby shower.
From start to finish, the service was fantastic. They were really responsive via email with my many MANY questions and queries. They accommodated as best they could and communicated clearly if something was not possible. On the day, the staff were friendly, attentive and hard working. The kitchen did a fantastic job at serving around 40 starters and mains efficiently. They allowed us to bring our own cake and decorations which meant we could really make it our own.
Overall, it was a great experience and I want to say thank-you to the management, Megan and the team on the day for a great event. Shout out to Megan for looking after us so well and being so patient with the never ending requests!

Saturday afternoon meet up, half way for our family swop over,
Nice bar and cafe, but sadly the service was incredibly slow|!
By the time I had eaten my teacake and drank 2 cups of tea my sons toastie was still nowhere to be seen, apparently the chef had missed the item off our order,
the bar was fairly empty, not that busy at all, when the toastie finally arrived myself and father had long finished our tea and cake.
Sadly no appeasement was offered.

Great coffee but the food was a disappointment.
One order was for the bacon, Brie and onion chutney ‘sandwich’. The bacon was cold and tough.
Other order was the same minus the Brie and was also a let-down. The GF bread roll ok, but at £17.90 for the two, to have one cold, tough slice of bacon per sandwich seemed to be a mean offer.
I expected at the high price to have at least two rashers of bacon, particularly as I asked for the Brie to be omitted.
The staff were mostly attentive and the place was clean.
Unfortunately, I didn’t find it value for money.

Hosted a party for us, last minute change of venue. They were amazing, pulled out all the stops. Re arranged the place to make a dance floor, served Prosecco, displayed the buffet beautifully and sliced up the cake. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was excellent. Clarrisa was outstanding and kept us all calm. Just want to say a big thank you for making one young lady’s 21st perfect.

Was treated to a Mothers Day afternoon tea by my 9 year old. It was absolutely delicious, the cakes particularly so. My son is not a huge fan of sandwiches and they offered to make him something off menu so he could eat with me. The staff were beyond helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed by surprise and would highly recommend.
