Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This restaurant is everything you hope for in a restaurant - the food is delicious, the veges are cooked to perfection, the ambiance is friendly, and the staff go the extra mile to ensure you have a good experience. We look forward to going again.

Lacks a bit of atmosphere, and better ales, but fabulous food, and at a good affordable price, most definitely a hidden gem.

We are regulars to The Manor, the food is second to none, Jan, Mick and the rest of the staff are friendly and efficient - good job we don’t live closer to the place or we’d be bankrupt! Read a review that said a lady...solo traveller had been refused a table - they do get incredibly busy, even if it looks as if there are plenty of tables they may be reserved. Best always to book in advanceMore

Lovely Sunday lunch in welcoming pub with first class service and value for money. Food was beautifully presented and good portions with extra gravy! Puddings homemade and perfect end to our meal We sat in the bar not the restaurant as had dog with us,...nice cosy area with lovely fire lit , dog was spoilt with treats from owners.More

Went here for the second time this year and, just like the first visit, we weren't disappointed. This is food cooked by a chef who really knows the score. Pub food at its best. The service is excellent as is the general ambience of the...bar. The menu is really superb - both the set menu and the "specials". Can't wait until our next visit !!More

Visited on my birthday with my daughter. Didn't have starter & ordered the pork belly & Emily had the chicken masala curry. The pork was a bit under cooked for me but it was nice. Emily's curry was very nice(wish I had chosen it) I...then had treacle tart for dessert.More

Came across this place by chance when out for a walk. Really friendly staff even though we only had a drink and used the loo! However inside the place was clean and modern and the food looked good. Sat out in the pretty and peaceful...garden with good views. Would love to go back one day!More

We went here on the recommendation of an acquaintance and weren't disappointed. The pub is (to my mind at least) a quintessential country inn with a bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. We arrived there at opening time (as did quite...a few others) and were served by the landlady. The 'locals' were all friendly and talkative (we're only 20 minutes away ourselves) and the atmosphere was most enjoyable. And joy of joys there were no machines or music boxes which seem prevalent nearly everywhere else. Heaven. We could hear ourselves both think and talk. I had a local beer which was truly excellent. We both ate dishes from the specials board sharing a starter and having a main dish each. The food was superb being exceptionally tasty and cooked to perfection and was served on very hot plates. The overall feeling we had on leaving was of happy contentment. We will return.More

Very disappointed to be refused a table, out of season, travelling as single woman with a dog. Apparently “very busy & no availability at all”. Didn’t even give me an opportunity to ask for a garden table! Second time to be refused at The Manor...Inn, as a single traveller, but persevered the first time & took garden table, even tho multiple tables free inside when arrived & when left The food is amazing btw It’s not easy for women to travel alone & so very disappointing when we can’t be accommodated.More

Lovely family meal at The Manor. We booked a table upstairs in the dining room thinking it would be quieter, however there was a large party celebrating a birthday and due to the acoustics of the high ceiling it was extremely noisy - nevertheless, we...still enjoyed our evening and you can’t criticise others for having a super time! Next time, I would request a table downstairs in the bar area. All the food was delicious from a nice varied menu - standouts for us were the crispy squid, the steak suet pie, and the lusciously thick gammon. Friendly, helpful staff. A definite step up from pub grub.More
