We ate here after a bracing lunch time walk. The menu is varied and the staff are very helpful. Fantastic range of drinks, wish we could have tried more! The food was fresh and hot and delicious!

Another first class meal this lunchtime. The food is superb every time we have visited. The pub has such a great atmosphere and above all the welcome is second to none. And our two little pups love it too.

We visited with family last Sunday. Not our first time and definitely not our last! The Sunday roasts are perfectly cooked with colourful veggies and great attention to detail in the presentation while the desserts are imaginatively delicious.

A lovely warm welcome, a cosy table next to a roaring fire and delicious lunch with attentive staff. What more could you want from a Cumbrian pub? Excellent value for money, we will definitely be back.
