Creative, high quality food in a relaxed setting. Very accommodative as one of us was pregnant and another was vegetarian. Good service and great music. The tuna and lamb were the highlights. Also ask for the "fushy fush" which was delicious.

Recommended by Kim at 970 Lonely Bay, we walked down to this great restaurant. The food is sharer portions which is great for trying lots of things. Friendly service and an excellent wine selection, all reasonably priced, would definitely go back.

Stunning food- we got the tasting plate and shared amongst 4 people, it was truly beautiful food. Wait staff were really knowldgeable about food and wine and we really enjoyed the entire experience

Go Vino was recommended by our guest house and we arrived expecting a quick and simple supper. What a treat we had in store. The most creative fusion of delicious dishes was exceptional! Our one disappointment was that they weren't open for our last night...More

We visited with friends who are regulars to this restaurant. We opted for the Tasting menu which was for sharing. We had 6 dishes of the chef's choice. All were tasty and many were experimenting with complex flavours - some were nicer than others but...More

Came here twice in our short time at Cooks beach, mainly because it serves takeaway pizzas when everywhere else in New Zealand seems to have shut, or is booked up, or is simply taking too long to serve everyone (the frying scotsman next door.....the slowest...More

I arrived and stood at the bar whereby the man who I presume was the manager approached. I said I wanted to order a drink 'but first could I ask if you have wi fi?' 'No I don't' came the surly reply 'Do you know...More

I feel this review is a little unfair. The reviewer didn’t eat in the restaurant but feels justified in leaving a negative review which can be potentially damaging to the business. I accept that reception is part of the experience, but do not feel reviewers...More

Description
Go Vino has taken the Spanish concept of tapas and evolved it for a New Zealand environment. Go Vino's shared plates (Kaizen dishes) are bigger and more complex than traditional tapas. The dishes also feature ingredients and flavours distinct to New Zealand. Drawing on quality seasonal produce Chef Gabriel Moraes creates a Kaizen menu which changes every few months. Perfectly designed dishes can be enjoyed as a snack or as a complete meal over the course of an evening. Please be aware that we are not located directly in Whitianga, but in Cooks Beach, a short ferry ride and taxi away.
