Lovely cafe and friendly service. I booked a table for 6 of us and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We had a wonderful time and the best coffee by miles! Thank you.

My wife and three of her friends went to the lord Robert's for lunch with their newborns/prams. It was the first time they had been since the new owners had taken over. They were told that they only have one table that baby can be...sat at, which was occupied by an old couple. With most other tables free. The male sever was hostile and unwelcoming and it really felt that they didn't want mothers and children. And just wanted us gone. The feel of the place has really changed with the staff sitting at the front table almost upset they to talk to customers. It's a real shame as this local gem has now lost its shine.More
Visited Lord Roberts today to celebrate mums 80th birthday , we had a wonderful afternoon and we’re so looked after by the owner and her team , the afternoon teas were fabulous . Highly recommend a visit to this gem . Thank you fir a...great afternoon , we will certainly be regularsMore
A beautiful location. The waiters were very friendly and efficient and the food excellent. My husband and I had a bacon and brie panini - perfect- the best we have ever had.
I brought my mum here for afternoon tea for her birthday after I had such a lovely time for mine. They did not disappoint! Food was fabulous (and lots of it!) and the service was impeccable as usual. I can't tell you how glad I...am I found this place! 5 stars doesn't seem enough!More
The owner was pressuring us to leave a good review despite the poor derives and experience we received. Such a shame to see how much this place has deteriorated. We used to enjoy frequenting here but the service under the new owner is very poor....The staff made quite a fuss when we asked to swap the egg out for a vegetarian meal. Staff were not friendly or welcoming - yet social media posts paint a very different picture.More
A great location adjacent to Woodcote Village Green. What a lovely cafe,we enjoyed Eggs Royal and a Full English Breakfast, friendly owners. Will certainly be coming back again.
What an absolute gem. Thankyou to my friend for sharing this lovely place. I have been twice now and definitely will be going many many more times! The staff are so welcoming and such a lovely atmosphere. The food is so delicious! 😋 I had...the best omelette I have ever had. So full of flavour! I can’t recommend this place enough🥰More
Afternoon tea for 6 was a special treat given as a thank you gift. No welcome as we came in, barely shown to our table. Had to wait for someone for 10 mins and managed to ask for water. Finally food arrived which was very...nice except for the overcooked mini quiches. The pots of tea were basically enough for two small tea cups per person. When we asked for another pot of tea we were told quite abruptly “It’s not bottomless tea” by the owner! Well… quite surprised but ok. At £28.50 per person ended up paying extra for two pots of tea!More
Once you visit here you will be booking it up weekly like me. The venue is a pretty quaint cottage building housing a fantastic floral ambience - various eating areas from inside - conservatory - outside covered terrace and garden seating. I honestly can’t stay...away with such a vast menu choice. It’s a menu I intend to work my way through. The venue is licensed so special occasions can be celebrated in style. There’s many mocktails to chose from to keep everyone hydrated. Plenty of beverages on offer hot & cold to wash the many cakes down aswell. You are served with much professionalism and not rushed to make a choice. The background music is such a delight and song choices will have you singing out loud!! I can’t wait to return and try a new delight.More
We popped in for lunch , with my grandson . The owner looked stressed and they were clearly under staffed. We ordered food and drinks. I would say we waited nearly 20 minutes for our drinks. The food came first. I asked where our drinks...were, mu 2 yr old grandson had become restless. The whole experience was completely the worst I have experienced. Since changing management, it has not been for the better.More
Do not eat here. Over priced and honestly rubbish food. The bacon and sausages are beef. That’s only stated on the menu for the bacon. Shoddily presented two measly skinny sausages shoved into a dry bap for £8.95! Robbery! It’s a shame every new owner...of this place gets it so wrong. Go back to basics do the simple things well and consider your pricing! Would never eat here again. Didn’t enjoy anything about my visitMore
My Friend was 85 today and treated me and a friend to go here. She had phoned previously explaining she was gluten free and that none of us liked smoked salmon. Smoked salmon came up and fish also on my plate which I hate. We tried...to get alternatives but the chef didnt really listen and brought me gluten free. Apart from the mix up of food, no milk was brought with the tea. We had to ask for it. No knives were supplied for cutting the scones and for jam. The owner was a bit apologetic before she rushed off somewhere. It wasnt at all professional. Bit crazy in fact. I would never go there again and would never recommend it in a thousand years. I was so upset for my friends birthday. I asked for a discount, which took 15 minutes for them to say yes.Sorry this is so negative, but it was awful and so expensive for so many mistakes.More
A delightful setting and polite and helpful staff. Sadly the food, although not bad, just was not as one would expect. Beef bacon not good, sausage white and herby and nothing as a sausage should be, fried egg totally over cooked and bagel dry. So...sad as could be such an enjoyable place but I do understand they don’t want to sell pork based products but although I don’t eat pork my husband does and does not want a sausage or bacon they tastes just wrongMore
We visited on the third week of the new Lebanese Meze Nights which only happens on a Friday and Saturday. Hilda, our host and chef, was amazing and made us feel very welcome. The food is all freshly prepared and magnificent. Our shared meze platter...was a taster of many of the wonderful dishes on the menu. We were greedy and also had Sfeeha (seasoned minced lamb in pastry), Fatayer (spinach parcel) and mouth watering Shish Taouk (marinated chicken breast with vermicelli rice). All the staff were really friendly and we will definitely return. It was also very reasonably priced. Please support their new venture.More
