We just happened to find this place after a leisurely Sunday morning stroll by the river. Looks fresh and inviting from the outside and is really good inside, too. Decor is plain but very tasteful with framed prints (and originals?) hanging on the walls. The menu is very varied and has something for everyone, all at sensible prices. My wife... More

I've been to feeling peckish a few times and it's always been pleasant. Unfortunately after today I won't be returning. My sister and I ordered the chicken bacon and cheese panini. Expecting a panini we actually got a baguette the cheese wasn't melted. £6.50 for a small baguette salad garnish and a very small pot of coleslaw. I said to... More

Very friendly and quick service. Food was plentiful and good value and choice. It does what it says on the tin - if your peckish go in ! It's not a fancy restaurant, but a very good place to eat.

I have visited this place twice. First time (2 or 3 years ago) it was a good experience, the food was good, with also some friendly female staff that looked after us well. Second time was only a few weeks ago (probably 3 or 4 weeks ago), where my experience was the exact opposite. We went in, we could see... More

Our second visit to Feeling Peckish and again was a great experience. The Eggs Benedict , chips and coleslaw was a pleasure to eat, all our party enjoyed their various choices, staff very helpful and the service was excellent. Looking forward to visiting again on our next visit to Newark.

This was only a brief stop for a reviving cup of coffee but was definitely the worst coffee I have ever been given. It was on the menu as 'fresh ground' but the reality was a lukewarm drink that was so bitter it did not deserve to be called coffee. I valiantly drank mine but my partner did not. The... More
