Jerome and his wife run a lovely auberge that makes Essert-Romand complete - serves neighbouring villages like Essert-la-Pierre, and outliers. Great friendly atmosphere, welcoming setup, good hearty food after a hard day's skiing with decent wine list and at an excellent price. Family-friendly and you can sometimes meet their kids from time to time - they speak impeccable English and... More

Went for a bite to eat here last night. Quick friendly service. Had a burger & potato gratin. Reasonably priced with a decent locally brewed lager.

We stayed at an excellent air bnb in Essert Romande village and our hosts recommended this restaurant and bar nearby. It is easy to get to from this village and a short taxi ride from Morzine. The owner made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere was inviting with locals in the bar as well as visitors dining. The food... More

We came for dinner in this British-like pub providing family atmosphere. We enjoyed the beer, the "soupe aux oignons", the "daube de sanglier" and a salad. That was too much to have a desert — dommage! The owners are really great and we spent an really enjoyable time.

We have been to this place several times. There is always a good mix of locals and visitors. The locals make a big effort to make the visitors feel very welcome which creates a fantastic atmosphere. The food is always excellent with a twist on local savoyarde specialities including a tartiflette that is famous for being the best in Morzine.... More

Went with some friends to 'La Petite Auberge' in Essert Romand which is just outside Morzine. We had a 'superb' evening - the steaks were absolutely amazing, all cooked perfectly and as ordered; 'melt in your mouth' comes to mind . The food was washed down with a bottle of 'red' recommended by our host which proved an excellent accompaniment.... More

Ate here three times during our week's stay for a family wedding and the meals were excellent on all three ocassions. The burgers were particularly good and the tartiflette was amazing. The owner is very friendly and happy to help those of us whose French language abilities got left in our school lockers. I'd love to be able to eat... More

2 of our group went the night before and then all 24 of us went the following night. The owner devised a special menu and price to suit our group which was very kind. Also seated us in a separate area so our many kids would not bother other more serious guests. The food was amazing, goats cheese salad, followed... More
