Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As an Englishman, one associates France with good food. This place doesn't do good food, it does Good Food - there are few places can match the quality and value for money. Come to think of it, I can't recall ever encountering its equal in...quality without a sphincter-compressing bill, although I can recall encountering bills like that without the quality. I cannot recommend this place enough - and be generous with your tip, we need them to prosper!More

This place is an absolute gem, we go as often as we can for lunch or dinner, as a couple or with friends. The owners Hazel and Richard are wonderful hosts and the atmosphere is just right, very, very high quality food but no stuffiness...or lack of atmosphere. It's a small restaurant, intimate but very friendly and convivial. We've never had a bad meal here, we feel very lucky to have this close by. Very good value for money too. I'd give more than five stars if I could!More

The daughter of an artist, I grew up hearing over and over that creating an exceptional meal is artwork. Not only must the creation be authentic, and tasty, but the presentation must delight the eyes. We eat with sight, smell and taste. Richard does an...exceptional job and is a master. Make it a point to visit this small village for an exceptional dining experience.More

Have been to La Petite Noisette numerous times over the years and it has never failed to impress. The service is first rate, the value remarkable and the food is absolutely fabulous. We always take our friends and family for a meal here when they...come over to visit us and, without exception, they have always been extremely impressed. My sister actually said it was the best meal she'd ever had in a restaurant (and she eats out a lot) and she couldn't believe what good vale it was. My husband & I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone - and we frequently do.More

Many years ago, Alexandre Dumas wrote of cooking and food. Given that he also wrote about Vendee and Paris, it is logical to assume that he must have visited both places. At that time, to get from one to the other required a journey through...this village, and it would not be improbable to imagine that he would have stayed at the local Coaching inn, the “Cheval Blanc”. Could it be that the inn had a brilliant chef, who inspired the great writer? Could it also be that the shade of that chef has resurfaced in the same village? Because the standard at Petite Noisette astounds, and the value for money is extraordinary. Richard, lamb cannot possibly taste this good. It should be illegal. Fish may be served like this to royalty, but in a village restaurant? The writer is diabetic but was very sorely tempted to risk it, knowing how irresistible is the chocolate Ganache. La Petite Noisette is a little like cocaine; highly addictive. Once you have eaten here, you ache to return, and you remember it until the next time you visit. It is an unforgettable experience. We are lucky to live in the same village (in the former coaching Inn nearby) and treasure each wonderful visit. Treat yourself. Your scales might regret it, but you will not.More
