We and my partner visited here one evening last week, We waited over an hour for a meal, which wasn't the best, very over priced for basic food. The lady serving us was very rude, and blunt.will not be returning.

Called in whilst staying locally. It doesn’t look much from the outside but inside it’s so pretty, quirky and very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere. Decorated really well and it’s so comfortable both in the bar and restaurant area. We loved it. The food was really very...good and really reasonably priced. The staff are super friendly and made us and our dog Percy feel very welcome. Great pub!More
The pizzas, sides and fish and chips were all delicious and clearly freshly cooked. Service was efficient and very friendly. We brought leftovers home with us!
Never been here before, in the area visiting family.. food was amazing and staff were polite and friendly with a smile 😊 Service was excellent, will definitely be recommending to friends and family… Thank you we will be back!!
Just perfect 😊. Ample car parking, quiet garden area with tables available, welcomes dogs with facilities provided, warm atmosphere and not too busy. Menu has a good choice of options and provides excellent allergy / intolerance information. Our meals were perfectly prepared and presented and...delicious. Staff were welcoming, friendly and professional and our visit was a true pleasure. Thank you - we will be back.More
A nice pub restaurant. Friendly welcoming proprietors. Good pub grub. All very clean especially the loos.
We visited whilst exhibiting at the Steam Rally. Very friendly welcome on the telephone when booking and excellent banter with Sarah when we arrived. Lovely choice of food and we were all very happy with our meals
A warm welcome , a friendly relaxed atmosphere, lovely decor and fabulous food. A lovely little place that accommodated us an overnight stay in our campers , after a cider run they kept us well topped up with a great selection of drinks and a...really lovely meal for 4 , really made a short break amazing . Cannot thank you enough . Do not miss out on your chance to visit here .More
I’m gonna keep it brief cause I could spend all morning praising this venue. Staff are amazing. Atmosphere is wonderful. Food was fantastic. Just loved the visit. Spent most of the day there on and off after our Cider Run. Can’t thank the staff enough...for making us feel so welcome. Please visit.More
There were 21 of us on a Pub Walk, starting from and finishing at The Slip prior to lunch. Was my first visit and certainly won't be the last! Staff were delightful throughout and the food way above expectations, My wife is from Up North...& considers herself a fish'n'chip connoisseur and rated hers "some of the best ever". My Veg Curry was truly excellent and all other dishes looked great as they came out. It's not easy keeping so many Old Codgers satisfied but these guys did - and then some 😃 Huge Thanks!!More
Booked for Mother’s Day lunch. Sunday roast was very tasty, the Apple and Parsnip soup was devine and reasonably priced. Spotlessly clean, not a spec of dust anywhere. Drinks reasonable and a lovely welcome and atmosphere, highly recommended.
A pleasant pub a bit off the beaten track with plenty of parking and outside tables ( when it’s warmer!) . We visited on a Sunday and only Sunday roast/nut roast was on the menu. The nut roast was fine and the vegetables tasty although...a tad overpriced at £17.50. The pub is dog friendly.More
First time we visited. Lovely friendly welcome. Plenty of parking available. Very well presented and clean premises. Lovely countryside location. Terrific view over orchard from table. Food well cooked . Traditional Roast dinner. Couldn't fault it. Service was timely and conducted in a very pleasant...and non obtrusive manner. Will visit again. Highly recommend.More

We visited with our young daughter recently early on Saturday night and were treated like family. Such a welcoming, lovely pub and restaurant. Food was great pub food, cosy atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble .
