I know that this restaurant is more expensive than others. I know this restaurant is maybe too expensive, but I also know that you aren't coming here only to eat, you are going here for experience. From entrance to the table, you will be 😶. I adore everything about this restaurant. I like food, interior, smell, sound of sea while... More

We traveled to a number of countries on our last expedition. I saw this referenced in Travel and Leisure and made a note of it. We had a driver, Slavko, who took us around. When I mentioned Stari Mlini, he grinned, it is in his home town and he agreed, it is wonderful. We found a wonderful wine, and decided... More

A good 20 mins fast rib from Tivat gets you through the awe inspiring gap between the mountains into Kotor bay. It felt so James Bondish to hoof across mirror glazed waters and then come alongside Stari Mlini's private stone jetty. Prob about 15 mins drive from Kotor- but much much nicer by boat ! The restaurant is an old... More

It's a beautiful place with tables spread out among different pockets of the premise. The natural surroundings and the restaurant itself makes you feel nice no matter where you sit, as long as you don't mind the smokers sitting at the table next to you (big problem for non-smokers in Europe.) The food was just OK, but fairly expensive. Service... More

Really nice location but better for lunch than dinner. The views on the bay are amazing at daytime. The food is a little bit average however the signature octopusdish is amazing. But quite expensive 44€ for two. Not the best restaurant in the area, but not a bad one. International winelist.

Steak over cooked. Charged for sirloin told they had run out and it would be rump which we accepted but then overcooked. Given "complimentary" liqueur then later found we had been charged for them! Beautiful setting but food less than average for the price of 150 euro for 3. Huge hype locally but does not deliver.

I love this restaurant, been coming here for four years, the old mill wheel turns gently, the water churning up over the pebbles, fig trees, ponds filled with fish, I think this is the typifies Montenegro. Great fish, the octopus is spectacular, trout with honey is good, puddings traditional and excellent, I will always return!

The setting of this restaurant is really quite something. I was recommended it by a friend, and it didn't disappoint. The menu was extensive and inventive, and the food delicious. I had the cuttlefish risotto, which was incredibly tasty and the portion was huge. I thoroughly recommend getting the rocket and parmesan salad as a side, it was one of... More

Such a pretty restaurant, you have the mountains, sea and greenery. Loved the local wine they served, very tasty. I would rate this restaurant higher but thought it was overpriced...but then everything in Montenegro was overpriced in my opinion. The potatoes with my main were the most delicious I have ever had, the salad was fresh and tasty too. Only... More
