The coffee is great, the salads are delicious - was very happy with my causer salad. The atmosphere is relaxed and it was a very busy public holiday and the staff kept their cool and were very friendly. Very happy and look forward to returning.

Lunched here with family recently on a Sunday afternoon. The food was great and menu selection was quite varied. The service was also friendly and helpful and there is plenty of seating both inside and out. Would definitely visit again.

PROS: Nice outdoor seating with gorgeous huge umbrellas ; friendly staff; excellent coffee; my granddaughter is helping me to write this and she said that there were plenty of bananas in the smoothy. A bit sweeter than we're use to at home but still delicious! All very well priced too - $7.30 for my coffee and her smoothy. CONS (more... More

Visited Bittersweet for a Saturday morning breakfast. The cafe is busy at this time, and so service was a bit slow. The menu has all the standard breakfast options, including a few which are interesting (such as the vegetarian big breaky, and 2 kinds of potato rosti)- but nothing especially hipster or quirky if that's what your looking for. Gluten... More

Went to Kingston for lunch with my wife and was pleasantly surprised to find the Bittersweet Cafe. I had the Big Breakfast and my wife had the Caesar Chicken Salad. Both were very good. There is a nice outdoor seating area and the staff were helpful. Breakfast is served until 3pm. Nice cafe in the Kingston shops.

The staff are friendly but the kitchen is slow (yes, it was busy). The coffee is excellent. The omelette roll with ham pieces was ordinary. The salmon rosti was okay. The burgers looked great but a little small. Sad to say, this was an entirely average experience.

Quick service, delicious meal great coffee. We were met with a smile and water and a menu. We ordered and before we knew it our coffee arrived, then quick as a wink our lunch. Considering how many people were there, I was most impressed.

Whenever I have the chance, I choose the breakfast menu when having lunch at Bitter Sweet. They roast and grind their own coffee and their Eggs Benedict is just wonderful.

Met up with a friend who's been living in Ireland for brunch at Bittersweet. We both choose Eggs Benedict, I had salmon and Bronwyn had bacon. We both loved our meal and the coffee was good too.

I love the coffee here, have been many times and it is always perfect. The roast and blend their own coffee, perfectly brewed and served at the right temperature. The food is cooked across the the lane at Bittersweet and is good breakfast fair. It can get noisy at times when there are large groups, but that is just a... More
