Since my first review, over two years ago, when we stopped in for coffee and cake, have lunched here a number of times, and each time I have been disappointed with my lunch, but today was the last. I ordered this - "Green Papaya Salad,...More

Had a lovely lunch at one of my favourite Canberra cafes. Weather was okay so sat outside, enjoying views of the lake and being entertained by the sneaky birds trying to steal scraps off the tables. Unfortunately no table service is provided here, order and...More

We came for breakfast which was pretty good. Smashed avocado(a bit of a joke there!) and eggs Benedict both cooked and presented with a little hipster influence showing. Not sure why there was a second piece of toast served with smashed avocado as it seemed...More

I can’t agree with the past few reviews. We really enjoyed our meal. We saw the Dombrovskis exhibition which was great and then had an excellent lunch. The papaya salad was tasty and fresh and just what I felt like. The pumpkin fritters and chicken...More

I used to like coming to Bookplate - friendly staff, good food, well priced, with lovely deck to sit on and enjoy Canberra - yesterday was a let down - over priced food that was so tired - the salad had no dressing on it...More

We visited at 2:00pm and it was very busy. They said they would make a special effort to serve until 2:30 as it was busy. Food was good, a little on the expensive side.

Then the owner changed and it went down hill enough for us to give it a miss consistently. A shame. Redecoration did nothing -- just a waste of space.

I tried the Chicken Chimichanga so now I know what a deep fried tortilla is like. The outside seats have a great view across Lake Burley Griffin to Mount Ainslie.

We dropped by for lunch twice. The first time we actually had lunch. The second we had the breakfast! It really is a minimal service cafe. Our food was fine and we thought reasonably priced. But it is a bit tiring having to queue everytime...More

When you pay $17.50 for breakfast plus drinks you have an expectation that the service, quality of food will be commensurate with such a premium. This was not! I had the ranchero eggs. The eggs were dry and cold, the avocado was so cold it...More

I have just rung the "Bookplate" to check on this, and yes, they are very happy to have you and your dog on the patio. So the answer to your question is definitely 'yes.'
