The Guylian Cafe was the perfect place to start our trip in Sydney! The staff were exceptional and extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the whole dining experience. The breakfast menu has something for everyone and the waffles were scrumptious! Overall this Cafe was a great place to start your day and would highly recommend this for anytime of the day... More

Being from the UK and liking Guylian chocolates it was a pleasant surprise finding a chocolate cafe that did food. We ordered eggs on toast which were really enjoyable and banana and caramel hot chocolate which was to die for. Its a real shame that there are no Guylian cafes in the UK

Nice mocha. Good location. Pleasant staff. Clean and good atmosphere. One part of the order was wrong but staff immediately corrected it without any fuss.

We visited here on our way to do the harbour bridge climb. We both had poached eggs on sourdough and it was excellent. The coffee and hot chocolate were also really good. Staff were very nice and friendly too!

We stopped by here to take away two coffees and a hot chocolate for our littlie and were surprised they don't make HC's in a small size. They charge a fortune for a large HC and the coffee is terrible. The waitress, whilst prompt, was very unfriendly and cold. We would never go back.

Food was average and the service very slow. One register open to pay your check. There would have been at least 6 people trying to pay at the same time. There was also a concert on at the new ICC theater. I imagine some people were late for the show.

Firstly they ran out of ice cream. So what we all wanted to try was off the list. We opted for cake and a sprite, way to over priced for what you get. I have tried it once never again.

Nice setting in Darling Quarter not may patrons while we were there though other places busy. The Staff service was exemplary, very attentive. Coffee tasted good but overpriced $6.00 for a large cup most expensive we've paid so far in Sydney. Muffins okay but a bit crumbly and dried so probably come from the freezer, again at $6.50 most expensive... More

We went to the Darling Harbour location which is light and airy with plenty of good seating unlike the inner city shop. We had bombe au chocolate which is a mousse covered in dark choc. Plus coffees. Costs more to eat in so display prices are not menu prices. That's a bit weird to me but they told us the... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
