Overall, a good restaurant to dine at. The menu choices are ample and refreshingly new. The food taste is awesome and the ambiance is absolutely fantastic. Finding the door of this restaurant is a game in itself :-P It's always booked, so go early.

The food was good but the service and ambiance didn't impress. It is very dark, so much so that the waiters drop and spill things. The tables are small. The food was nice (tasty) but not really out of the ordinary. The serving sizes were moderate to small. Overall I thought it was over priced and didn't understand what all... More

Due to the popularity of the restaurant it is usually difficult to get a reservation. We tried our luck around 9.45 pm and were rewarded with an excellent late night shared meal. The servings are generous and very tasty with the extra spicey dishes highlighted in red. Plenty of choice to suite most spice lovers.

The entrance to the Spice Temple is easy to miss, and then you have to walk down the stairs to the basement. But once you are there, it has great ambiance and service. The food is Chinese infusion, taste great! I am a Chinese, and was a bit skeptical about the food: how can Aussie do better Chinese than the... More

This is my third time at spice temple & it never disappoints . Great vegetarian selection with a real depth of flavor. The pickles & cucumber are a nice cleanser. I highly recommend the two eggplant dishes, the mushroom got pot & salt & pepper tofu. The staff are so friendly & helpful. The cocktails are a bit pricy but... More

This was a celebratory dinner for 6 people. Aside from the good food, this review is to acknowledge Emma - the server taking care of our table. Have been to this restaurant in the past but this evening was made special by Emma who arranged both our food (including vegetarian and vegan dishes) and non alcoholic drinks. A great night... More

This was our second trip to Spice Temple, and we had just as much (if not more!) an enjoyable experience as the last time. The food is absolutely amazing- our best compliments to the chefs! I would definitely recommend the kung pao chicken & mushroom hotpot. Both times we were served by Michael, and both times he exceeded in meeting... More

Was very ordinary did not live up to expectations. Over priced and our group would not go back. I could not recommend to anyone.

We were a large group and had a private room. I've eaten here before and I loved it last time. This time I wasn't quite so impressed. We had the Golden Banquet - some of which was magnificent and some of which wasn't. The good: - cucumbers with smashed garlic and ginger - cabbage and radish - white cut chicken... More

The entrance to the restaurant was challenging as it was not at all obvious so we walked past it initially without realising and then the winding, slightly worn out steps were not a great introduction on our recent visit. The reception was friendly and happy to place us at a position at the bar, which we have loved in some... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
